Pet Honesty High Fiber Pumpkin Flavored Digestive Powder for Dogs, 90 scoops

We add this to every meal for our dog because he was having some diarrhea issues. We keep him on it because he seems to like it and the extra fiber and probiotics are good for him. He’s very regular now.

One of my dogs is prone to softer stools and minor indigestion, though he does not have any kind of chronic condition. I thought this fiber powder might help alleviate some of that. Although I've only been feeding this powder to him for a couple of weeks, I think it is starting to help. However, I can't fully recommend this product, at least not for larger dogs. For any dog over 50 lbs., you will need to feed them 2+ scoops per day. But that quantity of dry powder (I add it to dry kibble) is not appealing to my dog at all. So I started mixing in water, as the packaging suggests, to make the texture more palatable. Unfortunately, the powder is fairly hydrophobic, so it doesn't mix easily. If you don't add enough water, it becomes a glue-like paste. It's just a bit too much of a hassle to make it an regular part of my dog's meal routine. If you have a smaller dog that requires significantly less powder, it's probably much better!

This fiber powder smelled amazing and was very palatable for my dog. He didn't mind and likely enjoyed the change up from the typical daily dry kibble. Appreciated that it came with a scoop making it easy to add to his breakfast each day. We didn't see a noticeable difference in stools, but that being said we weren't having any concerns. Would purchase as a tasty treat to spice up kibble in the future.
