Directions for Mixing: Puppies that are up on their feet and lapping from a bowl may be introduced to Esbilac 2nd Step. Begin by offering it as a thin gruel. Determine the amount of Esbilac 2nd Step powder to be fed to the puppy at each feeding using the Feeding Guideline. Reconstitute powder by using 3 parts (a part is any measuring device, i.e. teaspoon, tablespoon or cup) liquid Esbilac or water to 1 part powder for the first few days. Offer only small amounts and remove the uneaten portion after no more than 20 minutes. Puppies should be fed 3 times per day. Weigh the puppies at least once a week to monitor weight gain and adequacy of feeding. As puppies grow decrease the amount of water mixed with powder until weaning food is an oatmeal consistency. Consult your veterinarians for additional advice.
Directions for Feeding: Esbilac 2nd Step should be lapped out of a bowl and not fed from a bottle. Esbilac 2nd Step has been formulated to meet the nutritional needs of young puppies being weaned from mother or bottle fed puppies progressing to solid foods. For best results, the product should be mixed with ready-to-feed liquid Esbilac or reconstituted powder Esbilac to give the consistency necessary to get good food consumption. If Esbilac is not available, water may be used. Fresh, clean water should always be available for drinking. It is recommended that Esbilac 2nd Step be fed until puppies are 7 or 8 weeks old when they can be fed commercial puppy or dog food as desired. All changes in diet should be made gradually over a period of one week.
Feeding Guidelines: Feed puppies three times per day

I have had difficulty finding the steo 2 miilk and of course, Chewy came to the rescue. Had the milk and it was delivered quckly.
Esbilac 2nd Step is perfect for my 8 puppers. I am not a breeder, I'm just someone who helps out pregnant and abandoned or feral dogs so their babies can get the best start and be ready for adoption. 5# bag barely made it through a full week with that many hungry mouths but mama sure did enjoy a break every day from 8 sets of teeth. I started them on the 2nd Step at 4 weeks of age and if I ever find myself in another situation like this, I'll use it again.
I have 13 orphaned puppies. When my usual brand of milk replacer was out of stock (thank goodness I ordered when I still had enough for a few days) I switched to this adding 1 scoop at a time till the transition was made. Although they are eating dry food, I still give them a huge bowl of this at night and they sleep so much better!
Awesome service
