I baked this and added peanut butter like the recipe suggested. I was sitting for my daughter's miniature dachshund and it was his birthday month too. Perfect I thought for him and my chi-chon. He loved it, gobbled it up. My chi-chon wasn't nearly as crazy for it so I added some whip cream and she ate most of it. Definitely not recommended for people because it tastes awful! lol I always try things my pet is going to eat. Weird maybe but I want them to like it. I do like the little cake pan so I'll bake my own recipe in it next time. Don't know if it's oven proof since directions called for microwaving.
Fun idea but product fell short
on Mar 2, 2021
The idea is fun and the directions were super easy. However, the resulting cake was a bone-shaped gelatinous lump. The frosting was basically dehydrated yogurt that you mixed with water and yogurt - I could have just used the yogurt I had to buy for this! The cake is small, which is okay. Even after cutting this into three parts, I still had to break it into smaller pieces for my pup's neighbor dog friend (my 60lb dog was able to chomp her third without too much trouble). I definitely could have found a better recipe for the price I paid. This was disappointing.
Terrible looking and (apparently) tasting too
on Mar 20, 2021
I had such high hopes that this "cake" would be a success, but instead it was a lump of gray matter in a shape of a bone. The "icing" was more like a glaze rather than frosting consistency.
My poor little guy, had no interest on his own birthday cake and therfore had no birthday dessert.
Cake Mix not pleasing to dogs
on Mar 13, 2021
I got this for my fur baby’s 7th Birthday. I followed the directions to the T. Not one dog ate it. They all sniffed it and turned their noses up. My fur baby eats literally anything. At least I got the bone shaped pan. This is the first thing in 7 years that wasn’t a hit with us which is why I’m giving it 3 stars.
My little girl loved this cake!!

Valentine’s Day is my girls birthday (aka adoption day) so we always celebrate her birthday and buy her new stuffies (her favorite) but this year I found this homemade cake and gave it a shot. It was SUPER easy to make, followed the instructions to a T. She gobbled half of the cake up in one bite. She loved it and this made her birthday just a little bit more special - thanks Chewy!!
Ari's 3rd Birthday!
on Jan 17, 2021
Evie and Ari enjoyed this for Ari's 3rd birthday! No complaints here...I found the directions easy and interchangeable (I used sour cream in the icing instead of yogurt), and both my pups ate their entire portion. It was the perfect size to split between two large dogs, in our opinion anyway! We liked this product, and will probably look for the cake refills for our next pupper birthday party.
Easy and tasty

I absolutely LOVED this! Last year for Anna's birthday I paid for a custom cake from a dog bakery but it was kind of expensive. This was a cheaper alternative and so quick and fun to make. Not to mention it smelled great and must've tasted good too because she ate it so fast she almost puked. 10/10 birthday!
Easy, festive and fresh

So easy and quick to make! Willow loved her birthday bone cake...packaged so nicely with the icing mix and even a candle...added a few sprinkles and it was adorable!
Cute and easy to make

We purchased this cake kit for our dog’s first birthday and it was cute and super easy to make. I didn’t follow the directions on the frosting so it ended up being more of a drizzle, but that was my fault for not measuring. Overall, it ended up being a delicious treat for our 65 pound birthday boy as well as his 21 pound “little sister”.
Perfect bday cake
