The PetFusion Multipurpose Five Finger Dog & Cat Grooming Gloves would work great for a tegu, snakes and other small lizards. Please note the pressure of a bite could still leave a bruise and if the animal has sharp fangs these could penetrate the gloves.

Regret Buying - Very Thin

I ordered these gloves to replace some gloves I have used for years, and I couldn't believe how thin these gloves are. As someone who worked at an animal shelter

I ordered these gloves to replace some gloves I have used for years, and I couldn't believe how thin these gloves are. As someone who worked at an animal shelter for ten years and who has handled many strays in my neighborhood, there are much better and thicker gloves than this. While no gloves are 100% bite-proof, some are more bite resistant than others. I would recommend purchasing gloves from businesses which specialize in animal control products - after being incredibly disappointed with these gloves, I did an internet search and one business I found, which sells animal handling gloves and other animal control supplies, is Tomahawk Livetrap. I have used Tomahawk traps many times for trapping strays before, and their products are good quality. Their gloves appear to be much thicker and much more bite resistant.

My husband is going through chemotherapy and has to be very careful of scratches and open cuts. I bought him these gloves to use when playing frisbee with our two German Shepherds. We have to be very careful because sometimes our dogs anticipate and jump too early and can have their teeth hit our hands by accident. These gloves protect my husband’s hands and arms. They have been easy to put on and take off and have provided great protection.
