How wide is the feeding bowl? Is it whisker friendly?

The feeding bowl of the Petlibro Polar Automatic Smart Wet Food Feeder is designed to be whisker-friendly. It features a shallow, wide oval bowl along with a curved feeding opening, which helps reduce whisker contact during eating and minimizes whisker fatigue and stress. The bowl width is approximately 15–17 centimeters, making it comfortable for both cats and small dogs.

Can the Polar feeder be used without the app? And is there way to manually open and close the feeder (without having to set an exact time window in the app)?

The Polar Wet Food Feeder requires the Petlibro app for initial setup and operation. There are no physical feeding buttons on the device itself for manual opening or closing. All manual feeding actions—such as opening the sliding lid or rotating the food tray—must be performed through the app using the “Feed Now” or “Open Now” options. If no feeding schedule is set, you can use “Feed Now” in the app to open the lid and feed your pet immediately. If a schedule is set, you can use “Open Now” to trigger the next scheduled meal right away. There is no way to manually open or close the feeder without the app, and the device cannot be programmed or operated independently of the app.

How long does the door stay open after the cat leaves the area?

The lid of the Polar Wet Food Feeder remains open for a maximum of 4 hours during a feeding. Unfortunately, there is no option to extend this duration. However, after the initial feeding plan has been completed, users can manually trigger a feeding via the app by selecting the completed plan and reactivating it, provided it doesn’t conflict with the next scheduled feeding.

Is it possible to turn off all chimes indicating feeding time?

This feeder does have an option in the Petlibro App that allows you to turn the device sound on or off.

The settings are a little finicky but this little contraption is a life changer. I can go away for a weekend without having to hire a pet sitter for my boys. I bought one for each of them. The food stays nice and cold, even when the door is open. I love the option to be able to let my pet get to their food over a 4 hour period because when I am away, sometimes they ignore the alerts. Actually the bell kind of scares them. I also have the Petlibro dry feeder and it uses a prerecorded message which is much more appealing to my boys. I really wish this the device had space for a fourth tray. It would make life much easier because I feed my boys morning and evening. I also wish the lid could stay open on its own to help with cleaning and refilling.

Brilliant Fridge for healthy pet wet meals!

An invention I wished for! I've tried every Freezer pak "cold" feeders. None have insulation for the frozen paks so I insurted my own reflector sheets & battery-only power is unreliable & wasteful. But NONE can top the PetLibro Refrigerated plug in, back-up battery system. My cat must eat small multiple portions & I may work long days, so load up the trays, make schedules & can decide to serve earlier if I want. I have a kitchen camera facing his food station. I have the dry feeder as a back up snack of 1/8 cup. Being able to program & control from your phone is great. I had the first gen model & had a fan issue. Customer Service was incredible & I ended up with a new unit. Clean the lid as it tells you too. As a professional pet sitter I have cat clients adding these to their pet care regime.

The product has great potential, but it's very unreliable. However, it's a nightmare to set up and manage. It's often times out when setting up the schedules for automated feeding so I gave to make many attempts before it succeeds. It's also failing on executing on the schedules. When that happens, I try "open now" option without a schedule and it's failing too. So managing it stresses me and my car out so much, because he has to wait for me to be able to make his food available. The support from this brand is also bad, you have to email them and their responses feel very templated, so it takes a lot iterations to get to solving the problem The only reason I am not returning it and giving it 2 stars is because it's the only option on the market for wet food that keeps wet food fresh without ice packets.

Great product

We got this feeder for our elderly cat to use over thanksgiving. We tried using it for a week before we were supposed to go out of town. It worked perfectly well

It worked perfectly well but unfortunately the she was not interested in eating out of it, at no fault of the feeder. It worked great and would have been a perfect solution. I believe it was due to tooth sensitivity. Wish we could have used it.

Broke in the fist 90 days

Cats don't like it

I bought two for my cats. They're usually pretty avid feeders but they don't like to eat out of these feeders. I tried using little stools cause I thought maybe

I bought two for my cats. They're usually pretty avid feeders but they don't like to eat out of these feeders. I tried using little stools cause I thought maybe they were too high, tried adding food toppers to entice them. Nothing worked. I think it may be cause the food is cold and they don't like that? If I put food out next to the feeder while it's open they'll eat that fine so idk. I'll probably keep them in case I need them for an emergency but for now I'm just going to go back to manually feeding them.

The font size and color on the app is ridiculously small and light gray - very hard to read. So far my cat is afraid to eat out of it but we'll see what happens.

It's too big!

I think this is a great concept, but this feeder is not for smaller cats. Our 10 year old kitty is only 7.5 pounds and 8 inches at most at the shoulder. There was

I think this is a great concept, but this feeder is not for smaller cats. Our 10 year old kitty is only 7.5 pounds and 8 inches at most at the shoulder. There was no way she could reach in over the edge and all the way down to reach the food which is pretty far down in there for a cat feeder. The noise (it sounds like a mini fridge) was the final straw with her. She wouldn't go near it. Too bad too, because I need something like this, but on a smaller scale. So I am returning it and looking for something else that might fit her size better.

Stopped working once setup complete

Didn't get to really use it before it refused to power up and connect. The feeder is right next to the router with strong wifi so its confusing why this won't work
