Help your dog chill out with the Chilly Penguin freezable dog toy from PetSafe. Designed to give your sidekick a special snack, this arctic friend can be filled and frozen for a rewarding challenge he'll love. Load it with broth, wet dog food, peanut butter or yogurt before popping it the freezer overnight—or pour your dog's favorite chewy treat into an already-frozen penguin. It's made of durable, vanilla-scented rubber and designed with a rounded base, so it will wobble as your pup tries to devour every bit of his treat. It's especially ideal for cooling down on hot days or soothing the tender gums of teething puppies. Plus, it's top-rack dishwasher safe and available in two sizes for different breeds.
Designed to hold freezable liquid snacks, or frozen and filled with solid treats.
Because you choose what goes inside, you get total control over snack-time.
Rounded base gives this penguin a wobble, creating a challenge for your dog.
Snowflake design is more than a cute decoration—it helps hold those frozen treats in!
Features a stackable design, so you can save space in your freezer by stacking penguins high.
I purchased this to use when my puppy is crated or is getting into something that he just needs his attention shifted off of. We put little round treats in and fill with water and freeze and our puppy loves it! Plus with teething the nice cold chewy is perfect for our little guy! 100% recommend!
He loves this

This toy works great for my new puppy. I keep it in the freezer when he isn't using it. When it's time for a nap, I fill it with peanut butter and put him in the crate. It keeps him occupied until he falls asleep. When he wakes up, I put it back in the freezer.
great sturdy toy!

I’m fostering a young dog on crate rest, so I bought this to try and give him some more variety in toys and chews to keep him occupied. This was the FIRST toy he actually engaged with, even before Kongs. Hands down it is his most favorite one, he will devour it immediately without stopping as soon as I give it to him (I usually freeze baby food and dog treats in the middle). This is also the only toy I trust him with unsupervised (even the red Kongs make me a little nervous) because he’s such a strong but quiet chewer. Definitely a 5 star buy and I think I will be buying more soon.
It's okay. Pay attention to the size!

I had high hopes for this, but it is too big and the plastic too hard for my dogs to get anything out of it. It wasn't obvious to me that smaller sizes are available from other retailers. I like that it sits somewhat flat, since it is easier to freeze liquids in...but it is rounded on the bottom and really bulky, so it is tough to find room for in the freezer for it.
Smell never goes away

Let me preface this by saying I have two heelers. They eat everything and love to chew and lick. These chilly penguins were worthless. They have a very very strong odor that I could not get rid of. I scrubbed them, soaked them and it still stank. My dogs had zero interest in them. I froze beef broth (which they love in their Kongs) and offered. They took one smell and walked away. The penguins only hold about 1/4 cup of liquid inside. The XL Kong holds about 3/4 FYI. Waste of money. Buy the Kong.
We love these penguins

Some dogs may have difficulty, but I put wet (loaf) food in and although it’s quite a challenge they get them clean. I do soak them in hot water after each use and get a brush to get the inside but they get it all. I use the smaller size and my dogs are 15lbs Chipin/Chiweenie type.

I was afraid this would be too small for my large dogs, but it's just big enough, and they seem to enjoy the challenge of eating frozen treats out if it

Our mini Aussie LOVES her penguin! We love that you can freeze it to soothe her teething gums. A tiny milk bone fits perfectly inside. It takes her a while to get it out. Perfect penguin toy!

A lot of items are hard to know if my pitbull will chew the toy up too quickly. This toy is perfect and she loves ice so she licks and licks too lol
A great toy for a Husky in SoCal

Out of all the toys bought in that first week panic of having a new dog, this is definitely a favorite! Easy to load with treats—try cheese and beef broth or carrot baby food—and holds a surprising amount. The best part is it’s dishwasher-safe! It freezes in a matter of hours and we use it every day! Cannot get through the summer without it!
