How long is the tether and does one come with the zip line?

The zipline has a maximum length of six feet while the tether has a maximum length of three feet. Both are included with this purchase and work with your Happy Ride Safety Harness (not included).

Do I need to buy the connector for the harness and the zipline separate? if so, what would it be called?

I need to purchase an extra drop-down leash for my second dog. Where would I be able to purchase one?

The manufacturer does not sell the tether separately. They do not recommend attaching multiple tethers to ziplines as this will present a situation that may allow them to get tangled and possibly present a distraction for the driver. For multiple dogs, it would be best for each dog to be secured on a shorter tether with an individual harness to individual seatbelts. This will alleviate the potential for them to get tangled and keep them from attempting to reach the driver’s area. Please take a look at the Happy Ride Safety Harness.

Could the zip line also be anchored to floor hooks in the back of an SUV?

This zipline is suitable to be used in the SUV cargo area and in the bed of a pickup truck. This can be anchored to the floor hooks.

Freedom!

My dog loves this! Our former dog's seatbelt would tangle in her legs and she would have to stay in that position until I pulled over and helped her untangle. But

My dog loves this! Our former dog's seatbelt would tangle in her legs and she would have to stay in that position until I pulled over and helped her untangle. But with this, she can be tangle-free and roam around while being safe! She can finally be comfortable and go to the car windows on both sides rather than just one car window.

My dog almost died

I was pulled over on the side of the interstate and opened my back door to grab something. My 50lb dog went to jump out of the car (which is why I had him connected

I was pulled over on the side of the interstate and opened my back door to grab something. My 50lb dog went to jump out of the car (which is why I had him connected to this car seat leash) and the strap snapped. He sprinted around as traffic rushed by, I was able to tackle him and drag him to safety, with my knees and hands bleeding. This was a horrible and terrifying expetience.

Nice in theory

It really would be better if the leash portion was thicker or metal, something that can't be chewed. My dog was attached for about 45 minutes before we had to pull

It really would be better if the leash portion was thicker or metal, something that can't be chewed. My dog was attached for about 45 minutes before we had to pull over on the thru-way for my daughter to go potty. Next thing I know, my dog is out of the car and running toward oncoming traffic, it was absolutely terrifying and I am immensely thankful that I was able to catch him. I'm just going to have to throw the whole thing out after one use and stick with a regular old leash :(

Nice and secure!

Pretty simple to use. The tether from side to side was much longer than I expected - I have a Kona and that cord was twice as long as the width of my car. The "leash"

Pretty simple to use. The tether from side to side was much longer than I expected - I have a Kona and that cord was twice as long as the width of my car. The "leash" part is very accommodating as well. That is super long too. The metal ring slides back and forth with ease. I have a doofus of a dog - unlike the other harness clips, she has yet to get tangled up with this one!

Not the best quality, but does the job

I was hoping it was a little thicker material and metal hooks. I had a previous one that was more like an actual tie down strap used on trailers and such. This one

I was hoping it was a little thicker material and metal hooks. I had a previous one that was more like an actual tie down strap used on trailers and such. This one has plastic hooks and just a very think line. But my dog is still a puppy so it does the job for now. But I know it won’t hold up when she gets larger.
