  • Didn't work at all

    By on

I had purchased this for my two cats to keep them from crossing paths with each other. The idea was to keep them confined to certain areas of the house so they'd stop fighting and urinating all over the place. I bought two collars. For both cats it was completely innefective. Their fur didn't allow the nodes to create contact with their skin, so they did not receive a shock when they crossed the barriers. I even completely shaved one of my cat's neck so that there would be no fur in the way. It still did not work. Bottom line, I do not think this item is intended for cats. I read several reviews where peole indicated it would work, but I will testify that this is absolutely not the case I had purchased this for my two cats to keep them from crossing paths with each other. • Not recommended for cats

    By on

Though advertised for dogs AND cats, this caller was too big for either of our cats that are about 1 year old. We couldn't get the contacts to touch the skin through all the thick fur rendering the device useless. We also couldn't hear the tones the collar makes to confirm its functioning unless my head was right next to the cat. So, we can't recommend this device, at least not for house cats.

  • Not That Great

    By on

The collar only worked a quarter of the time. Sometimes my pet would get the shock and other times she would still get the the places I was trying keep her out of. The battery in the collar only lasted about a week. Should have paid more attention the negative reviews.

  • Great To Keep My 75 Lb Dog From Escaping

    By on

Our 75lb Shepherd mix learned how to open doors and was tearing a part our basement door every time we left the house to visit his friends. I tied a string and the remote to the door handle and popped the collar on him and he hasn't escaped once in the last few weeks and now he even ignores the door when I leave him without the collar on. He's a very trainable dog and learns fast though.

  • 7 month Great Dane

Very easy to set up. I was using a baby gate to keep my puppy out of the kitchen and decided to try this instead. I simply placed the device on my table, which is 3 feet from the doorway. Annabelle was shocked one time and hasn't attempted to go into the kitchen again.

  • Works great!

So glad I bought this! Keeps my 2 naughty dogs out of the basement! A professional invisible fence company quoted me over $700 to do the same thing that this does! And this has been effective and works great!

  • AMAZING MIRACLE

    By on

For over twenty two years and several flooring changes my dogs had their favorite space to sneak an indoor potty break. Within two minutes of setting up and adjusting this device it’s COMPLETELY stopped. I would have NEVER believed it, but it truly is amazing. Highly recommended for anyone just starting to train or with a long time issue. I have three dogs so I bought an additional 2 collars.

  • Keeping my dog indoors

    By on

Our greyhound is actually the wild child. She has learned to open lever "door knobs" and due to separation anxiety once let herself out of a hotel room in Denver, then went out the automatic doors at the front. This system did take a little while for us to fine tune, but we can now take her to the office, put on the collar and turn it and the transmitter on, and not worry about her going out the front door onto US 24. For indoors, to keep a pet away from an area, I think this system is great! The only quibble I have is that the light bulbs in the checking system (looks kind of like a key) is not real bright, and I cannot hear the tone on it, even though it is designed for human ears.

  • This is Useless

    By on

Even at full strength, with brand new batteries, the receiver only picked up the signal about 30% of the time making if worthless as my dog didn’t consistently get a warning. Also, the audible warning is so soft she couldn’t hear it (nor could I)

  • Doesn't work

    By on

I had high hopes for this item as a deterrent to keep my cat Sydney away from a forbidden area. But it had no effect on her whatsoever. At first, I thought it was because her fur was too thick; maybe she couldn't feel the shock. So I shaved her neck area completely, and put the collar back on. She then walked right over to the forbidden area! I felt the prongs to see if they were shocking her, and they were! She did not seem to notice at all. The shock is very light- not much more than a tiny bit of static, so I don't think this works well as a deterrent.
