Can u place the wire in plastic pvc pipe before burying it to avoid it from rusting?

Quit Working <2 years

This was purchased in place of unsightly chainlink fence in April 2021. It was easy & rather inexpensive ($200) to install and my dog learned her boundaries quite

This was purchased in place of unsightly chainlink fence in April 2021. It was easy & rather inexpensive ($200) to install and my dog learned her boundaries quite fast. The system has had its flaws with the collar not always sounding/correcting at its boundaries so my dog would leave the yard entirely defeating the purpose of the system. Within the last 6 months this is happening too frequently and I do not consider the system to be trustworthy or effective. I hate to have to replace the whole thing, which was almost a $500 investment, and it is not even two years old. Is this common with these? If so, it is not worth the money.

Doesn't Work

This product is a pain and chore to install. Had to do it in multiple steps because it was so hot while trenching and burying the wire. After all was said and done

This product is a pain and chore to install. Had to do it in multiple steps because it was so hot while trenching and burying the wire. After all was said and done it worked for a few hours and hasn't worked since. Waste of money, time, and energy. Ended up buying a remote operated collar that works amazing and significantly cheaper

Product is a chore and troubleshooting ended up being more trouble than it’s worth. Spent 4 hours on this to not have it work properly. That being said pet safe

Product is a chore and troubleshooting ended up being more trouble than it’s worth. Spent 4 hours on this to not have it work properly. That being said pet safe customer service was great and so was Chewy’s. I’m totally satisfied with how they helped resolve my frustration. If you have a small yard and simple installation I’m sure it would work great but if you have buried utility wires, neighbors with fences etc just avoid as there is too much interference possible with radio signals.

It didn’t work!

We spent hours and hours digging a trench to install the system, following the directions carefully. The system worked for two days s d then the unit wouldn’t stop

We searched for a problem with the wires but found nothing. We finally decided to hire a professional installation company with a guarantee. I would not recommend this product.

We have been looking for a replacement for our in ground fence that had gone bad. We purchased one at another retailer and the collars were too big for our little dogs even though it said it was good for a 10lb dog. We are so happy with this purchase. Hubby wanted one that we could recharge. Our other unit we had to buy batteries for it and it seemed as though we were constantly replacing the batteries. We couldn't be happier with our purchase from Chewy. This is really a good system.

It worked!

I already have a 4' chain link fence and my 2 dogs are fine. I brought home 2 large breed foster puppies and they could scale my existing fence with ease. After

I already have a 4' chain link fence and my 2 dogs are fine. I brought home 2 large breed foster puppies and they could scale my existing fence with ease. After trying every type of tie-out imaginable, which led to tangling and moping that they couldn't play like the other dogs I purchased this fence with the extra wire & collar. It was quite a bit to spend for temporary dogs but the peace of mind is priceless! They figured out to stay a few feet from the fence within 2 days and not a single escape since I installed it. As an added bonus it keeps them from barking thru the fence at the neighbor dogs because they can't get close enough for it to be any fun! I just ran it along my fence line & up over the door to the house. Took about an hour & saved my sanity!

After intermittent shocks to my pets from other in-ground fence systems my pets feared the collars until we came across this system. They were hesitant at first but they really enjoy the small sized collars, variable shock setting, and of course no intermittent shocks. The system works great and it easy to install. The collars are very responsive and easy to use.
