  • Attaches to your dog's harness using a durable stainless steel carabiner clip that holds up to 725 lbs; works with any harness, but ideal for use with PetSafe Comfort Harnesses (sold separately).
  • Clicks directly into the slot end of your seat belt buckle and can be easily switched from car to car as needed (seat belt metal tongue measures approx. 7/8” wide).
  • Fully adjustable, this dog seat belt can be extended from 15”- 22” (measurement includes carabiner) for a broader range of movement.
  • Universal design fits most vehicles—tether is not compatible with Volvo vehicles and is not recommended for Ford F-series trucks.
  • Keeps your dog in the back seat and out of your lap to reduce distracted driving.

I have had pet seatbelts similar to this in the past, however this one is by far my favorite! The carabiner that you attach to a harness is super sturdy, the clip to the buckle isn’t easily undone, and it’s adjustable! The seatbelts I’ve used in the past become unattached so easily. If my dog just slightly steps on the seat buckle button it just comes off. Not this one! It’s still easy to unbuckle for us humans but my dog hasn’t gotten this one out yet. Additionally, I absolutely love the fact that it’s easily adjustable. I have a big 75lb dog who likes to lay down and adjust in the back seat of my car, with this seatbelt it’s actually possible without her getting too tangled or not having enough “reach.” I don’t have a cat but I feel like this could also be used for kitties if they don’t like the carrier. Highly recommended.

The Petsafe Safety seatbelt dog tether works great. I put a harness on my dog to attach the seatbelt and she didn’t mind being tethered. It fit my car’s seatbelt perfectly. My dog is able to stand, sit, and lie down while being safely tethered. It’s strong enough to hold my 50 pound muscular dog during car rides. It can also be disconnected from the car, hooked to a leash, and take a walk. This will be part of our outings from now on. I recommend this seatbelt for safely riding in a vehicle.

Everyone should be securing their dogs during car rides! We have been using a similar tether with our dogs for years on their Sleepypod harness, but what I really liked about this one is the carabiner! It’s much sturdier and feels more secure than the clips on the other ones we own. I also liked that it was easy to adjust, because our dogs are taller and need more length in order to sit up. Just be mindful to NEVER clip these to a dog collar, they need to be used only with a crash tested harness or you can seriously injure your fur babies!

This seatbelt is very nice quality material, like a real seat belt but narrower and still very sturdy. I love that the length is longer. I use this for my large dog who is tall and strong. The one end plugs right into the car's seat belt buckle and the other can clip onto their pet harness, so its easy to hook up and use. At first, I wasn't sure about having one end as a buckle but actually it feels much more secure and doesn't shift around as much. I would recommend these for sure.

Great for the big girls in the back seat

We have a few various brands of seatbelts to keep our 2 girls safe in the car especially since Gin always tries to stand on the armrest to get in the front seat

We have a few various brands of seatbelts to keep our 2 girls safe in the car especially since Gin always tries to stand on the armrest to get in the front seat & this is one of my favorites because of the carabiner, it’s super strong so no question that it will break! You typically just see a small clip which aren’t always the most sturdy so seeing this change in design makes me a happy camper
