If you want all you cat poop to be piled up at the end of a box and still smell this is great. If you don’t want a big reservoir for all the cat poop this is great! All sarcasm aside, you would be better off buying a regular litter box and scooping it every day.

Been using this litter box for years

I don't understand the negative reviews for this item. I have been using them for years and have never had a problem with them. I don't use the hood because my cats don't like them. I found sprinkling baking soda in with the crystals helps immensly with odor issues. I find the crystals are easy to vacuum up when changing the litter. I was initially skeptical of the crystal litter but find I prefer the crystal litter to clay litter due to the dust.

what happened?!

I have used this product for nearly two years now with no issues. I have one cat and the trays used to last nearly 6 weeks as long as I clear out the feces here and there. There was NEVER smell issues. Now, I can hardly make it to 2.5 weeks without having to change the entire tray. The litter doesn’t dry out (like it used to) and the odor control no longer exists. I’m so disappointed. These were the best thing ever and now they’re terrible. What happened?! Ugh, sad.

Solid, but Assembly Issues

I had a past version of this. It continues to work well and I like the updated look. However, I don't like how things don't exactly snap in place. For example, the top kind of sits in place so when my cats come running out after using it, it is often displaced and can get knocked over. It isn't a dealbreaker, but a little annoying that it isn't set in place.

I bought two of these about a month ago. They work as described and I like them alot. However, one quit working all together after about a week, and are obviously expensive to replace.

Don’t get this it stinks

I’ve had this for two days and it’s already stinking up my entire house and I only have one cat. Poop is caked all over the rake and the non clumping crystals do nothing to contain the smell. This is trash and I feel like I got scammed. My old litter box and scoop with clumping litter did not smell for 4-5 days.

Had for a couple years now, still working great

I've used this litterbox (one of two) for my cat for over two years, and it's still working great! It works by raking across the crystal litter to scoop the poop into a covered box, and the urine is absorbed by the crystals. When it's full, you lift the outside plastic box to remove a disposable tray with its own lid. Cleanup involves a just throwing away the old tray, and then I just wipe it all down. The only area gets truly soiled is the rake, which is fairly easy to clean with a textured cloth. A minor annoyance is how easily the crystal litter tracks, but I just keep a mat down and clean occasionally. For how adorable she is, my cat produces some of the worst stenches known to man. However, I keep this litterbox *in my bedroom* and can attest that it contains smells very well. I'd like experiment with more environmentally friendly options than crystal litter and disposable tray, and am curious what PetSafe swill offer in the future, but for now this has been an absolute lifesaver.

What a waste of money,threw out to garbage! Shame on you for selling such poor quality.

Not worth it

This thing does no more than any normal litter box in terms of smell prevention. In fact, it smells worse. Absolutely the worst shopping decision I’ve ever made. Do not waste your money on this!
