PetSafe ScoopFree Crystal Pro Front-Entry Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box

Loved this so so much. until i didnt. Conceptually just about everything is awesome with this style liter box. And then it stops working. Just like that. Doesnt work. Emptied it. Cleaned it. Etc etc etc. nothing helped. If i had a picture to upload it would be of the liter box piled on top of my can on trash day. I had such hi hopes. So sad. Scared to replace. Wasnt exactly inexpensive. Sorry Chewy.

This is an amazing item, i have 3 days and inly 1 uses it but it works great and there's no lingering odors. It also acts as a nightlight in my house because of the blue button. The petsafe litter box is great but the sound of it scooping scares 2 of my cats, my orange cat love to watch it scoop if it was quieter and less bright i. Sure my cats could use it more

I have 3 cats and always maintain 3 litter boxes stationed in different rooms of my home. It is a daily chore to keep them scooped out and the odor down. I have had the PetSafe ScoopFree Crystal Pro Front Entry Self Cleaning litter box for about 2 months now. I was excited to try a self cleaning box but unsure about how well it would work with my 3 indoor cats ages 15, 12 and 4. It was very easy to set up. At first I left the lid off and then after about a week I placed the lid on. I thought maybe it would scare them if it was too noisy or that they would not use it just because they are cats and not always predictable! All 3 cats have been intrigued hearing and watching the automatic grid scoop the litter away and move back into place. However only one of my cats, my 12 year old male, uses the box regularly. It is surprisingly quiet and does an effective job of clearing out the solid waste and absorbing the urine. It is amazing how well it controls the odor. It has a counter that shows how many times the box has been used and I have found it lasts for about 45 uses before it begins to smell and the litter has been reduced to the point it needs changed. The odor control to me is one of its most positive features! Because just one cat is the primary user the litter trays have lasted about 3 weeks before I have had to change them. The system uses litter trays that slide out and the new tray slides in easily. It seems the trays might last longer until needing to be changed if each contained more litter crystals from the beginning? The only negative to me is the cost of the trays. For owners having only one cat the cost does not seem too bad if they can get about 3 weeks of use. However if multiple cats are using it and the trays have to be changed frequently, or with multiple boxes in a household, the cost would, I believe, be hard for the average cat owner to manage financially. I was able to buy a case of 6 trays at a discounted price on the first purchase and I hope I can find some similar discounts for future purchases. The regular litter I use is rather costly so with only one of my cats using the PetSafe Self Cleaning box daily the price difference between the litters, especially after the discount, has not been significant so far. After using this self cleaning box for about 2 months I have appreciated having to scoop only 2 litter boxes a day that contain the regularly litter while the self cleaning box needs no attention until the tray needs changed. For anyone with difficulty bending to scoop out boxes everyday the self cleaning box would offer a welcome relief. This box fits nicely along a wall or in a corner of a room without taking up too much room and looks cleaner and neater than most open boxes. It does not seem to cause as much tracking outside the box as other litter I use. I would recommend this PetSafe Self Cleaning litter box to cat owners with one cat or maybe 2 indoor cats. For multiple cat households I would recommend that owners first check what the cost of the replacement trays would be to see if the purchase would fit into their budgets.
