is there an attachment such as a splitter so I could feed 2 cats at the same time?

This automatic feeder does not feature a splitter attachment for multi-pet homes. You would need multiple feeders.
Will this feeder send an alert through the app if it is unable to dispense the food or becomes jammed? For example if you are on vacation and not in the house can you verify that your pet receive their meal?

Their current app version does notify you in the event that the food has jammed. You'll also get notified when your pet is fed, the food level is low or the feeder is empty; feeds on schedule as programmed if Wi-Fi connection is lost or feeder is offline.
What are the measurements of the metal bowl? I am wondering if I get a puzzle bowl of the same measurements if I can use that instead? My cat has anxiety about feeding times, but also eats too quickly so she must use a puzzle bowl. Thanks!

The bowl measures approximately 8.5 inches in diameter by 2.3 inches tall. While it may be possible to use a different bowl, results will vary.

EXTREMELY unreliable

This device is a waste of money. It frequently disconnects from the wifi network for no apparent reason, and will not reconnect again when I follow the troubleshooting steps. That means I have to call customer service, but they can only help if that failure happens within business hours — so if it’s the night before I’m supposed to leave for a week, I’m supposed to just shrug my shoulders and hope that my cat will be fed while I’m gone! One of their solutions was for me to connect to it using an old iPhone 6 that didn’t have a SIM card anymore — this was the only way to get it to work for months. So the whole idea that you can feed your cat with the push of a button from your phone, wherever you are? Nope!! It also randomly decides to feed my cat half of the scheduled portion (especially if it’s disconnected from the wifi at the time), or just starts feeding him endless amounts of food without stopping. Given that I want this device to feed him at 3am every day when I’m asleep, this is extremely annoying. Customer service won’t replace it because I’m “outside of the one year warranty,” which means I paid nearly two hundred dollars for the pleasure of having a working feeder for one year. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS!

Great value for money

I bought this for my cat so he would stop waking me up in the middle of the night for food, and it works perfectly. The only thing that I will say is that the bowl is definitely not the most cat friendly since it is so deep and can cause whisker fatigue, but I solved that by just getting a raise bowl that fit under the feeder and the cat has no problem now. It is very versatile, though, and nice that you can use a different bowl with the feeder. 11/10 recommend if you're in the market for an autofeeder for your fur baby.

Beware of Extra Feedings

My wife gave Hank (and me) this PetSafe smart pet feeder for Christmas. As a tech and gadget enthusiast, I was thrilled. However, in the past two months, my thrill has been replaced by fear and frustration every time I trigger the feeder. It randomly delivers multiple feedings back to back. So the 1-cup portion automatically becomes two cups. At first, I thought it could be user error or just a one-off event. However, it’s now happening several times a week. And I must stay within reach to unplug the device and stop the extra feedings just in case it goes bonkers. I want it to work correctly, but I suspect we going to have to return to manually scooping from the old $20 container that simply holds the bag of food. Sometimes technology isn’t as smart as it pretends.

Just Stopped Working

It worked really well until it didn't. I was very disappointed when I realized I was getting "fed" notifications without kibble being dispensed. Luckily, I work from home and caught it before my dog missed any meals. I emailed the support team and after needing to follow up, they told me to clean the machine and check that everything was installed correctly. I did and it was. Still, most pre-programmed feedings would dispense 1-3 kibble instead of a full meal. They won't replace it (just offered 20% off my next one) but I won't risk another phantom feeding.

Works great

I bought two of these to feed my cats when I'm out of town for work and in-between a pet sitter stopping by to check on them. Set up was a breeze. I have 6G Fiber and it works, no problem. I haven't had any errors and both feeders are dispensing food as scheduled. (I'm monitoring via camera) I only have 2 complaints. 1) I want to be able to customize the feeding schedule more (I'd like to skip feedings that the pet-sitter stops by so they can have canned food for that meal) I can certainly turn the schedule on/off, but it'd be easier to schedule which days/times I'd like. It's currently either every day at the scheduled times or off. 2) I wish it was easier to clean. This is probably not an issue for larger dogs because you go through food more quickly, but with cats getting small portions it will take a while to empty the hopper. So, that leaves me scooping kibble out to wash the hopper out on a regular basis, which is my preference. No one wants stale or rancid kibble.

Cat can get it

All of the special features and functions of the feeder work great and as expected. However, serious star docked because of design. My always-hungry 11 lbs. cat shoves his arm up the feeder and can access the conveyor belt, spilling a snack sized amount of kibble for himself. I taped a cardboard barrier across the front which sits above the bowl, and even obstructing those few inches he can still reach inside. I hate that his bad behavior is rewarded with the tinkling sounds of food dropping into the metal bowl.

buyer beware (must stay connected to Wi-Fi)

This is a fantastic pet feeder until one morning my pet didn’t get fed because the feeder wasn’t connected to Wi-Fi. I find it funny that they would say you can use a backup battery to keep the feeder running during a power outage but if your power is out, your Wi-Fi probably is too. So therefore your pet wouldn’t get fed anyway. For something at this price, it should have a small onboard memory to store the latest schedule and clock prior to a power outage or Wi-Fi disconnection. The app should also notify you when feeder has lost power and/or Wi-Fi. So close to being a perfect 5 stars from me but missing some critical low cost integrations for the price you’re paying.

Works great, but very loud

I've had this a few weeks for my two cats. One has learned that when the thing makes sound, it means food. The other, older cat is still too terrified of the sound to realize that it's pouring out food. When it's done, I have to take her to it to show her the food in the bowl. I'm hoping that she'll eventually come around.

Pretty good!

So I was pretty hesitant to order an auto feeder because they all have such bad problems sometimes and this one had a few too. When it arrived there’s a small piece that has to be inside the chute that agitates the food so it doesn’t jam up. When the machine was packed for shipping the plastic agitator was on the outside bent out of shape because it wasn’t assembled correctly. Took me a while to figure it out but once I did it started working well. It also doesn’t really measure food very well and it took some trial and error to figure out what setting would actually give enough food. Once it’s primed and filled and you figure out the settings it does work very well. My dogs poos have improved greatly because he’s getting fed while I’m not home instead of getting a huge meal when i get home.

I love it!

I'm switching from free feeding my three cats to something more reasonable for my one very obese cat. I have the two girls' food locked away with a microchip feeder, and Mr. Fat-Fat gets his food in small portions throughout the day. Great product!
