Why does my transmitter keeps beeping when turned on

Answer by ChewySep 09, 2019
There are 3 possible alarms that can happen when the transmitter is turned on. The first is for metal interference with anything metal or appliances within 5 feet of the transmitter. The second alarm is to signal power loss to the transmitter. The third alarm would be a single long continuous beep that signals the transmitter is failing and may need to be replaced.

I want my 3 dogs to be able to roam our backyard and swim in the lake. I also want to let them out the front or back doors and be able to access both areas without getting corrected. Is this possible? How does the additional transmitter work to allow more area?

How do you set the radius limit? Is that what the flags are for? How close can the dog get to the radius limit before the collar beeps/shocks?

Answer by ChewyMar 01, 2018
To change the size or location of the boundary, simply adjust the boundary width control settings or location of the transmitter.

My house is aluminum siding, how will that effect the function of the product?

Answer by ChewyApr 11, 2018
Large amounts of metal like this interfere with wireless signal and make the transmitters work harder than they should to get signal out around them, reducing the lifespan of the transmitters over time. Any type of metal roofing or siding, as well as metal near the transmitter at all will affect the signal.

This was my very first purchase from Chewy. I was so excited to use this with our new pup. It was an expensive and terrible purchase. We watched the videos multiple times and it still did not matter how many times we corrected the hub...the zones were not accurate by feet. It gave us limited space in our back yard (which was where we wanted more) and too much space in the front yard (where we wanted less). The radius was inaccurate no matter how many times I adjusted. I used the planner and followed all protocol. SUCH A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT AND WASTE OF MONEY! I would love to return such an expensive item, but apparently they glue the box together to where you have no choice but to pretty much destroy it to get inside to the product. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on this product.

I was skeptical, but I didn't want to have to install a fence. I worked with him for about 5-7 days. One shock and he knew where the boundaries were. He's a little guy so it doesn't take much to make him leery. I never leave him on his own, but feel confident now that he will stay in his zone. I highly recommend this product. And yes, it works in winter. We currently have an accumulated 2 feet of snow in back yard. So long as you keep the unit plugged in and the collar charged ... It will work.

We love the wireless fence for our two dogs. We trained our first dog on the fence a couple years ago, but now we moved to a bigger place with more acres and have a new puppy. So we purchased another set (collar and transmitter) to train our newest addition and extend the area they can play and explore outside. If you are in the fence, pun intended, just get it!
