Is this compatible with model 300-3078?

This Receiver Collar is compatible with with PetSafe Wireless Containment System (PIF-300 system, IF-100 transmitter) and Stay + Play Wireless Fence® (PIF00-12917).

Does this collar/receiver have more powerful static than the standard ones that originally come with the containment system?

The Stubborn Dog Stay + Play collar features 5 higher intensity levels of static stimulation compared to the standard collars, as it is designed specifically for stubborn or hard-to-train dogs.

Does this collar turn off in 15 secs after static charge starts? My dog runs out of my yard and just takes the shock because he knows it turns off. I currently have the older PetSafe containment system & collar.

This collar features 5 adjustable levels of correction. The tone-only mode alerts your pet with a beep, with a time out- correction that stops after 30 seconds.

Will this work for cats

The Stay and Play collars are the most light weight collars from PetSafe and are suitable for pets 6 pounds and up. This does include cats. However, the Stubborn Dog collar’s correction strength is two times stronger than their standard collar. We typically recommend these collars for more stubborn or willful dogs and it might not be the best starting product for a cat.

These collars are my pet's lifesavers.

I hate to put the collars on the dogs, but they keep them in the yard. I have a Husky and now a rescue Lab. Both love to check out the neighbors, play with neighborhood

I hate to put the collars on the dogs, but they keep them in the yard. I have a Husky and now a rescue Lab. Both love to check out the neighbors, play with neighborhood kids -at their houses. Molly, the Husky is stubborn and the Pet Safe Stay and Play for stubborn dogs keeps her in the yard. The new dog, Labrador, loves to just go for visits. The new collar for her keeps her out of the street when my girls are outside. Highly recommend the unit and collars.

I have used this product for many years. This is a replacement of one that got mangled by a puppy. We have a rescued GSD. I have never had any of my German Shepherds

I have used this product for many years. This is a replacement of one that got mangled by a puppy. We have a rescued GSD. I have never had any of my German Shepherds leave the yard when I am home. We live on a farm. So, we have very few neighbors. She will wait until I get a shower and take off. She does come back, I do not like her running. This deters her enough for that. I have had dogs that just take the hit. If they are determined (or really stupid)they will run.
