  • Not happy with this collar

I have 4 dogs and couldn't decide on which collars would be best, I purchased this one for my stubborn dog, 1st thing I noticed is it did not beep or make any sound which made it very hard to teach my dog, he did finally learn the boundaries, then one day decided if he ran fast enough he didn't get the correction shock, I decided to return this collar and get him one that beeped, and he was smarter then me, because he took off thru the boundaries and managed to break the collar in the woods somewhere and when he came back the collar was gone, a big waste of hard earned money.

  • My pups are 80 lbs at 8 months and 2-3 hours of training is all it took for them to catch on. Works pretty well. Easy to use.

1st day we worked on training pups seperate, they pay more attention that way. About a half hour each. They did so well learning seperate we brought them out together. This is when they're all about each other and like to run. They did well for about 10 minutes and then decided to bolt out the yard to the neighbor dogs house. Must of had the collars set to low for the 80 lbs , 8 month old beasts. I had them out together a 2nd time and they played fine in the yard for about 10 minutes and tried to see the neighbors dog again. After Making collar adjustments they came right back in the yard from a full run out. I was happy with the result. Now after minimal training, I put their"outside collar" 1st day we worked on training pups seperate, they pay more attention that way. About a half hour each. A bit of inconsistent zone distance is the only con i noticed and it seems not to have the full distance it claims. I would recommend it . … more

This is the 2nd one we've bought. The 1st one fell apart. It works well if it will stay together.

  • it works and is worth the money and peace of mind.

works well, not complicated. read directions thoroughly though to get settings right. my boxer pup learned the boundaries quickly on a low setting. placement of receiver is important. brick walls will cause some interference but you can work through it.

  • It fixed the problem!

I bought this collar for my 60 lb boxeer/Pit bull mix dog. The original PIF-273 collar worked for a year with my IF-100 system . But my dog became unaware of the high correction level. He would run out of the boundary. I Google searched for this collar and Chewy had the lowest price. Now he stays within the boundary! Note: I had to reduce the boundary from 5 to 3 1/2. Excellent investment, fast shipping. Highly recommended. Tony Eastern North Carolina. 7-27-2014
