Will this work to keep cats off kitchen cabinets?

The PetSafe Pawz Away Indoor Pet Barrier keeps your pet away from a certain room, away from trash, off furniture, etc. Simply place the Barrier Transmitter near the area your pet should avoid. The Barrier Transmitter sends a spherical radio signal, reaching up to 12 feet in diameter or a 6 foot radius.

Does this work with the pet safe collar for an invisible fence? Would like to not have more than one collar on my dog and being able to just purchase the disc would be great if it worked with the existing collar.

This pet barrier is compatible with all Pawz Away and YardMax receiver collars and can be used with your existing Pawz Away and YardMax Rechargeable In-Ground Fence systems. If the systems aren't compatible, we do advise the pet only wear one collar at a time. This will ensure there is no interference between the collars.

Safety first for the curious cat

This was purchased so he would not get hurt in the kitchen- almost scalded from boiling water on stove, going on top of stove, getting stuck into the lazy Susan,

This was purchased so he would not get hurt in the kitchen- almost scalded from boiling water on stove, going on top of stove, getting stuck into the lazy Susan, climbing into the dishwasher. Tried to train him with aluminum foil but he plays with it, loves to be sprayed with water, and will not listen to the word "no" - this beeps before a shock so he knows to stay out if the perimeter area. He's doing wonderful and the collar is comfortable, because he still sleeps crazy with his neck and body without issues. Having this in a large kitchen has saved me from running to get him before a terrible accident could happen.

Product works for a short time

I wanted this to work so bad, but the quality is very poor. When I initially received the product it was very easy to use and kept the dog out of the kitchen. The

The problem with the product is the collar. 1st collar stopped working, so I bought another and seemed to work fine. 1 week later the collar stopped working. Just throwing good money after bad money!!

Short Lived

I really had high hopes for this product despite the reviews after our vet recommended it to deter our stubborn, strong willed, doesn’t care about the spray bottle,

I really had high hopes for this product despite the reviews after our vet recommended it to deter our stubborn, strong willed, doesn’t care about the spray bottle, thrives on negative attention, she-demon of a cat (who I truly do love dearly) from destroying the sofa. Worked great for a day. Then, the collar quit consistently working. It will beep and “shock”, but intermittently. Not wanting to send her highness mixed messages, I removed the collar. (I shocked myself to make sure it was appropriate and not painful. The static really doesn’t hurt...just startles...). I will be contacting Chewy for a refund.

Not great - didn't work for big cat

This did not work at all, my cat walked right through. It would beep and the light flashed but it did not detour him. He's a big Cat so maybe it wasn't strong

This device has helped tremendously with keeping my cats out of areas we don't want them in. For the people that are saying that it doesn't work on the pets, I recommend shaving the fur around the neck. If your pet has thick fur this can serve as a barrier for the little zap they made need to stay away from things. It took my cats one time to find out the hard way and now everyone they get near the forbidden areas, once they hear that warning beep that run the other way.
