Does this collar continue to shock them once they run out? My dog just runs out fast so he wont get shocked so I need a collar that will shock him a little after so he will turn around and stay in the fence.

This collar will not continue to provide correction once the pet leaves the fence boundary area. With the wired systems, signal comes out from the wire in either direction, to an amount determined by the boundary dial on the transmitter. These amounts are relative distances and not exact feet amounts, and will vary for every yard—for one yard, a 6 on the boundary dial may create a boundary of 3 feet on either side of the wire, while a 6 for another yard may be 3.5 feet, etc.

HOW do we install the receiver to a bigger nylon collar for our English Mastiffs?

The receiver can be placed on any non-metallic strap. However, you must be able and willing to “punch” two holes in your pet's current collar so that the contact points can be properly inserted. Be advised; do not attach a leash to a collar that has a receiver on it. This can cause additional pressure on your pets neck through the contact points in the collar.

It is necessary to set this system up at least 3 feet from large metal objects or appliances as these items may interfere with the signal consistency. Trees and shrubs will not interfere.

Solved our issue

We got this collar to add our son’s big husky to our existing Pet Safe wired fence system while they reside with us temporarily. He was easy to train at 10 years

We got this collar to add our son’s big husky to our existing Pet Safe wired fence system while they reside with us temporarily. He was easy to train at 10 years old and has been enjoying his newfound leash free time in our yard playing with our dog whenever they venture outside. Great solution for us all!

Not working
