Not worth it

The concept is good, but for two Cavaliers, they drink a total of a cup of water a day and by doing that it lowers the water level about a half inch which amazingly is enough to cause the pump to make noise requiring you to add water! If I need to add water every day, I might as well just go back to a bowl which I fill up daily with fresh water, eliminating the need to plug in the device, clean it every couple weeks and pay to replace filters every 4 weeks. Maybe for cats or one 5 lb dog, but nothing more.

Honestly not worth the money...

I purchased this the first week of March, 2022, it is now December 2022 and it has completely stopped working for no reason. It's been having issues with spitting water for a while now, and it also gets dirty really fast. I don't know how "filtered the water actually gets anymore even though I've cleaned it, and replaced the filter MANY times. For it to only last 10 months isn't really worth that much money. Not even a full year with the product before it just randomly died.

It worked well for 2 years, upgraded to a ceramic

I have had this water fountain for 2 years. We have really hard water here so we only use filtered water in the fountain. Both of our cats love it. It isn’t the easiest or the hardest to clean. The capacity for 2 cats has me adding water about every 2 days or so. Which isn’t bad. The only issue I have is the suction cups on the bottom of the pump housing compartment have become so hard that they no longer stick. So the fountain doesn’t work properly. I am only buying a 2nd one instead of going to the manufacturer to get a replacement housing case (can be ordered directly on their website) because I wanted to upgrade to the ceramic version.

Good fountain, crummy pump

I've purchased several water fountains for my pets over the past few years, and for some reason the pumps keep dying after only several months of use. I've tried different outlets, surge protectors, regular cleaning, etc, but it never fails, they all break down. This fountain was actually a replacement for another one I bought, which also crapped out after a few months. I wouldn't recommend buying this fountain, not because of the fountain itself, but because the pump is apparently super low quality.

My cats love it!

I don’t know why people complain about this product. Just received my second one. I only replaced the old one because the stainless steel looked shabby after 4yrs. Works perfectly. No rattle and I can barely hear the soft hum. The motor is a bit goofy sometimes. If it doesn’t work, tap the motor lightly against the countertop. I had to do that with my last one. Also take it all apart and clean it once a week. It takes less than 10 minutes. Best water dish I’ve ever bought.

Keep Looking

If you purchase this item, when you receive it, go ahead and throw everything except the basin in the trash. The pump is loud, the filter cartridges are an expense that no one needs at the rate they have to be replaced, and the entire contraption will rattle like dry bones if the water gets the least little bit low. Having to disassemble, clean, replace, refill, reassemble on a daily basis takes more time than I have. So, we just use the basin as a nice water dish. Dump the water daily, wipe it clean, refill it with fresh water. Much easier. The idea of the fountain is great, my cat likes the fountain part, but she doesn't like the rattling, and the loud motor hum gets on all our nerves.

Best water bowl EVER

Ive owned 3 of these watering bowls over the past 5 years I have never had a problem with them and keep them full all the time They are perfect for my two furry children They drink more water with these bowls The filters are easy to change and assure clean fresh water on demand I give them a 5 for ease of use and product quality

Good product

I am really happy with this, and so are my cats. They definitely do drink more, and the fountain part intrigues them. My only reservation from a full 5 stars is that the fountain worked best the first go around and then has been weaker.

the motor broke less than 6 months after i bought it

the filters leak carbon for a long time and leave black and brown residue all over the fountain, even if you rinse them beforehand. it easily collects dirt and the filter does not keep the water clean, my cat drinks from the bowl not the fountain part. all around a bad design and not easy to use. plus like i said in the header it broke 5 months after i bought it :(

Nice design, no cigar

It was tricky getting the pump in just the right position, but once it was working worked great. Dog just ignored it, stayed with his old water bowl!
