Great Fountain/Water bowl
By HappyKitties on Oct 21, 2020
This was a recent purchase to replace our old cat fountain. Wanted to go with something that was porcelain instead of the usual stainless steel. Very easy to setup, runs very quiet. Our 2 cats love it. Simple to take apart and clean. Only reason for 4 stars was that it originally showed up in MANY BROKEN PIECES. But a quick call to Chewy, explained the issue and was willing to show photos of how it showed up. To Chewys credit, they believed me without the proof and quickly shipped me a replacement that showed up with no broken parts. Thank you Chewy.

Does what it's supposed to
By Saar on Dec 30, 2020
It's a water filter. It filters water. And after a while it gets gross and you replace it. These filters tend to produce a little bit of charcoal flakes when first put into use, but washing the filter under the faucet from all directions for 90 seconds before you put it in the water pump will get rid of most of those.

"Keep it Clean"
By MamaCat on Oct 31, 2020
The beautiful white ceramic cat water fountain arrived! I'd looked for quite some time for a fountain that suited my woefully poor engineering abilities, yet would be lovely, work well, and would be happily accepted by my cat, Bali. Hoping I had made a good choice for us both, I held my breath after the new fountain was delivered. The search for the right fountain had been long and full of failures and both she and I were afraid to try another. Our hopes for success were quickly filled this time when the new fountain, the Pioneer Pet Raindrop Fountain, was filled with water and plugged into the wall. When the the first burst of bubbling water came out of the spout, Bali literally started purring and put her whole face into the water spout. Dripping with water around her happy face, she gave me one quick look, possibly said "Thanks!" in cat language, and went back to her fountain over and over all day. I was very happy for her, but as the one who has to keep the water clean, I began to wonder how hard it was going to be to keep that water sparkling and how long of a time could there be between filter changes. I only use bottled water for Bali's fountains since she has always preferred the taste of bottled water to tap water and it is better for her. The cost of bottled water, though minimal, also had to be considered, so the performance of the Pioneer Pet filters was important to us in many ways. It gives me pleasure to state that Pioneer Pet Replacement Filters provide Bali with fountain water that remains clear, pure, and is well accepted by my fussy feline for at least two to three weeks before the next change is needed. On top of all that, the filters are quite easy to remove and replace. So, the whole issue of keeping Bali's beloved cat fountain ready and able to provide her excellent water has now been solved. This is quite a relief to both MamaCat and Bali. … more

Worthless purchase
By Doug on Dec 2, 2020
I ordered a cat drinking fountain and (mis)understood this filter to be necessary -- along with some other filters -- for that device. Instead, this has nothing to do with the fountain, as suggested by your web site.

Great idea!
By CarolsCats on Nov 6, 2020
So easy to install. Great design. My reason for only 4 stars is that I haven't had the filter and fountain long enough to see how long the filter lasts nor how well the filter works.

Fountain filters
By Filter on Nov 8, 2020
My cats prefer the running fountain water over bowls of still water. Must change filter regularly to maintain water quality. The filters are easy to replace in the fountain.

Great fountain but cleaning can be an issue
By Parismom on Sep 27, 2020
My girl, Paris, LOVES her fountain. A friend gave me hers because her boys kept knocking it over and washing their feet in it. Paris looked it over and immediately drank from it. The only problem, which is probably me, is once I take it apart and clean it then put it back together it sometimes doesn't work. I have to take it apart again and resettle the filter and motor. The only other issue is that Paris refuses to give up her water bowl!I'm Guess she must have still and "sparkling" water! CATS! Gotta love them.

cat fountain update
By Kath on Oct 6, 2020
I am really writing this review for the fountain rather than the filters. I posted that the motor went out after 3 months. Just talked with the company and they are replacing the item. It wouldn't let me write a second review for the same item, so I just want to express what great customer service Chewy provides. I'm really happy with how easy it is to get help with my order. My older cat loves the higher bowl on the fountain so she doesn't have to bend her head so far down.

Maxwell's fountain
By Rick on Dec 18, 2020
This is a nice easy clean fountain and my cat loves it. Have had other brands and this is by far the easiest to clean.
