My pup liked this for about 15 min, but eventually her licking inside it made the food adhere to the inside (rather than free-floating and able to fall out) and she got frustrated and disinterested. It may work better for more food-motivated dogs. Also, it's not dishwasher safe, which is a big con for me. As a dog parent, all my food toys need to be able to withstand a top-rack dishwashing. One time through the dishwasher and this toy split at the seams. (The product details say hand wash only, but I wanted to try it anyway.) It's a no from me, unfortunately.
This is a great design: my dog loves it and it keeps her occupied as she tries to puzzle it out! Great design for smart dogs who like a treat challenge. BUT I noticed, after not much use, the plastic is quickly breaking down. I would have expected it to be durable and higher quality than this, so it's a bit of a disappointment, because the design is really great (and it wasn't a particularly cheap price).
After washing and drying for the third time I put it away with other toys in the toy box, only to find a few days later that it had split at the top. Poor quality. I had just recently figured out what works and doesn’t as a challenge for the filling of this toy, and was considering purchasing the attachment ball, so it’s a bummer it’s broken now. It wasn’t particularly cheap either.
Works best for bigger treats/non puppy treats. Still can use for my puppy’s food but falls through very quick. Started freezing some pumpkin on one side and that worked to slow down the food from falling. Puppy enjoys rolling it around with paws
I put some of the kibbles in there before work so Bennie has to work it. it's easy to clean because you can expand the inside layer. however for kibbles, it grabs on all the kibble dust so it can be messy.
I thought it would be larger, however it fits my dogs large kibble pieces and it is not easy to destroy so I'm very happy with this
We have a large Ornee and have given the toy as a gift. Wa Ted to change it up with a smaller one. Stil prefer the larger one but will use this too
my dog chewed through this in under 5 minutes unfortunately. it is not durable, and for the price tag i wont be trying this brand again :(
This is my pup’s absolute favorite! Kibble doesn’t last very long in there, but bigger treats do. Even when it’s empty, he loves playing with it. It’s fun and bouncy, and we’ve even recently started playing fetch with it. Great for teething pups as well.
The idea of the toy is great, but the sticky rubber material isn't - especially if you have a furry/shedding dog. It is totally covered in fleece dog hair and really hard to get it off. The inside is tacky as well and the dog kibble sticks to it. While I really like the idea, it isn't working for us. Too hard to de-fuzz it and my dog gets frustrated when the kibbles are stuck to the sides and she can't get them.
