My dog absolutely loves these and the smaller baltic sprats. They're very fishy smelling, but they're worth it and I've gotten used to them. I like the size of these for a slighter larger reward or easier handling. They're an incredibly high value treat for my dog and are good for her - a lot of treats designed for training tend to upset my dog's stomach in the quantities she gets them, but I've never had any issues with these. We sometimes use these for heel training, and I simply hold my thumb far enough forward that she knows how far she can bite so she doesn't get the full fish at once.
I purchased these not thinking abt how large a herring is vs sardines. I’ve purchased dehydrated sardines in past & they were great but w/these have to break off pueces for my small dogs & the smell is awful! Can’t wait to wash my hands after. Never have I had something dehydrated that had such a really strong smell! Will prob try to find someone w/large dog that doesn’t mind the smell to give them to.
Just awful smell and fishes stick together…my dogs ate though, more rough for humans to opening a bag…
These are a good size for my 2 medium to large dogs. They love them!
