Very nasty, has very large chunks of fat and grisel. Very poor quality food.

Best canned food!
By NixeNAxlsMom on Aug 24, 2020
My GSD has hip dysplasia and cannot afford to have any extra weight on her. I mix this food with her kibble. She has lost 6 pounds, the vet is quite happy with this and she loves the food! It is a win/win!

Good quality, dogs love it
By shadowcatAZ on Dec 27, 2019 Top 1000 Contributor
Dave's made Whole Dog Journal's top 20 canned foods, which made me even more confident about feeding this to my dogs. They love this stuff, it's made with good ingredients, and I don't have to take out a loan to afford it. Good stuff, we'll keep using the whole line of Dave's canned food.

She Loves It & It’s binding
By TopDog on Oct 8, 2019
My precious 13 yr old little girl was eating another flavor of Dave’s and liked it. When I saw this Beef & Beef Liver it is grain free, less calories and suggested that it may firm up her stools (an ongoing issue). It’s working and she likes the new flavor. Cheers!!

My chihuahuas became very ill after eating this food. I changed to Royal and they recovered in three days. I will never take a chance with Dave's again.

Formula Change
By MzB2U on Aug 22, 2019
This was like feeding my baby pureed baby food. I don't know what you did to it but, I for one am done with this food. We loved the old formula. Chewy please pass this onto the people who make this brand. Horrible change.

She likes it
By fgoffjr on Jan 18, 2019
I have an 11yr old puggle that I just put on Dave's mixed in with some dry food. I had her on dry food only until recently and she was losing weight. She really seems to like this and has since put back on some of the weight.
