What Can the Colors Indicate?

My cat pees a lot! She has kidney disease. I want to switch away from clay litter because it can be difficult and messy to clean her box. I scoop all pee & poop at least once a day. I'm wondering how Pretty Litter will handle LOTS of pee in one day.

I prefer the pretty litter- though in a pinch ive bought the $15 one- it works well, and might be best for you to try first, in case you need a 2nd bag.

Can this be used with an automatic self cleaning litter box?

This litter would not be suitable with an automatic litter box, as most require a clumping litter. The long-lasting, non-clumping litter means lighter trash bags, less scooping and less trips to the store.

I’ve been using pretty litter now for a couple of years. Initially, I was hooked on the idea of Great. One bag will last for three months. It does not. We have three cats two litter boxes.Now, possibly the issue is there isn’t an additional litter box. I don’t know. Regardless, I find that I need to change the litter every weekand a half to two weeks. And that’s with scooping daily and sometimes twice a day.

The scent is really nice, but I would say it needs changed more like every two weeks (I do have a multi cat household) versus once a month (which probably works for a single cat household) I think this would simultaneously be great for a boy cat (since they seem more prone to things like bladder crystals) but also horrible because boy cat pee over rides the effectiveness of the scent blockers in pretty litter

I tried this litter, but for an entire day my cat refused to even go in her litter box. She went outside her litter box twice. I had to order her normal cat litter

The smell

I have two cats and they share one litter box. We kept getting comments from people when they came over that our house always smelled like cat litter even though

I have two cats and they share one litter box. We kept getting comments from people when they came over that our house always smelled like cat litter even though we cleaned it everyday. We switched to this one and not only does my house smell amazing but I only have to clean the litter once a week. I can track my cats health through what color the litter turns and I feel that was a big part for the smell. When I cleaned it once a day it was always full. Now when I cleaned it after a week it could probably still go a few days. My cats seem happier and more comfortable. Highly recommend.

We have a 16/yo cat that I thought this would be a good indicator for urinary issues. However, the first time the color changed to blue I took her to the vet and she was fine, no infections and blood work was great. They said that it happens alot with this litter, so what I thought would be a great indicator cost be a vet bill with blood work. I kept using it for a while, but the tracking on the floor just became too much of a nuisance. No litter is perfect with the tracking aspect, but this seems to be worse than others.

I am extremely upset with chewy. I opened a second account for my husband to get a gift card for $30 after spending $100 but I also had a coupon in the mail for $20 off under my account and they mixed up the orders because of the phone number being the same or whatever and I completely lost my info from my original account when they merged the two together a So I only got to use the $20 coupon and I lost the $30 gift card since everything under that email was erased! Won’t be using chewy ever again now! Very upset with the customer service too the associate was rude and did not care about how upset I was one bit!

This is the worst litter I have ever experienced. Dust free??? When the cats use it you can smell the litter in the air for hours and it's unbearable even with two large air purifiers running and in a completely different level of the house! Plus, it gets absolutely everywhere. I do not feel safe breathing it in and I absolutely don't feel safe subjecting my cats to it. How this litter is so popular is completely beyond me.

My cat had a urinary blockage and a bad uti, switched him to pretty litter from pine wood pellets, cats love it, just scoop the poop and stir litter twice daily, no smell no mess, i have 2 cats and stainless steel litter boxes, colors are spot on when it comes to monitoring ph levels, my female cat Kiki had a fit when I switched from a cheaper brand, had to go back to pretty litter, and the other litter didn't last a month Like pretty litter does. Now on I will not switch to any other litter ever again! Just to save money... It's pricey but well worth it!! Pretty litter for the win!!!!
