Ingredients changed!
Chewy is great! However, Primal Pet Foods just changed their ingredients to a lesser quality, particularly for allergic dogs, which is why I bought this product for so many years. The Rabbit formula now has EGG as well as DRIED YEAST in it... since then my dogs poop is mush and it progresses to diarrhea throughout the day. Just a warning for those pet parents out there with allergy dogs.
Change of ingredients !
My dog allergic to chicken n egg, so she has been eaten this rabbit formula for years , but recently i found the bag has words said updated formula n ingredients has eggs which i have to say bye to this dog food
Good topper
I use these as a topper. My dogs like all the flavors. They are too expensive for me to feed large dogs but good for a topper for them.
My babies loved it
I wanted to give it a try, so I ground it up in my blender and used as a topper on their primal raw nugget blend that I wet with boiled chicken, heart liquid. No coaxing required. My babies gobbled it up.
DUCK IS BEST
The Duck is best it seems a much drier cubes. I tried the beef to give my pup a variety however the beef is a bit sticky and gave my pup diarrhea, may be too rich so we will stick with the Duck.
My dog loves this product but it is more expensive that other options so I will use it sparingly.
Good choice
I purchased this because it was a good quality protein for my senior dog who was diagnosed with advanced kidney failure. It is a lot drier than the turkey, lamb, and pork flavors that he used to eat. My dog had to learn to like the rabbit and to get him to eat it I had to mix it 50/50 with the Forza10 renal diet. He eats 1 container Forza10 mixed with 4 nuggets a day over 2-3 meals. This combo is working for him when he was refusing all food. I would recommend this if you need it for a specific reason since the flavor did not appeal to either of my dogs by itself. Goats milk or gravy should help with that. I just wish that the price was more reasonable.
My Toy Fox Terrier loves her rabbit!
My dog has food allergies to meat and found that rabbit is a good alternative. My dog weight 4.8 pounds and gets feed primal rabbit 3 times a day and she loves it! Her bowl is always cleaned after every meal. This helps maintain her weight and she poops every day! Along side this I give her daily vitamins! She gets excited when meal time comes. I also use a grinder to grind up the food, so that way I don't have to break it down by hand.
Cooper Loves the Primal Rabbit!
Primal Rabbit has worked out well for us. Due to Cooper's allergies, some times a new variety, even of the Primal, can be a wrong decision. Chewy cares about our pets & works to correct what our pets can't tolerate. So glad he LOVES the Rabbit. Primal has helped to save his life!
