ARE THE CANS BPA FREE???

PureBites sees the opportunity to be ahead of the FDA with their recyclable pate cans. All their cans are made as BPA-NI (BPA Not-Intentionally added). The term BPA-NI acknowledges that BPA is ubiquitous in the natural environment, and very small amounts may be detected in substances even when BPA was not used in its production, like the linings of their pate cans. Therefore, they use the term BPA-NI (BPA non-intent) instead of BPA-Free as a more accurate way of referring to their PureBites pate cans.

Are there any gums added to make the pate stick? Like Guar Gum or Xantham gum? Is there agar agar in this as well?

This recipe only contains human grade chicken and does not include any other ingredients.

What is protein, sodium and phosphorus on a dry matter basis?

This variety contains approximately 0.32% Phosphorus content on an as fed basis (1.12% on a dry matter basis), 11% Protein content on an as fed basis (50% on a dry matter basis) and 0.06% Sodium content on an as fed basis (0.22% on a dry matter basis).

What is the iodine level?

Purebites does not specifically test for iodine levels in its products. However, since the treats are made from single ingredients, the iodine content would be naturally occurring from the protein itself.

Ordered for my cat and the cans said DOG food!

I didn't notice the 1st couple cans that the label said DOG, it didn't matter because my cat wouldn't touch them. Donated them.

My cat is old and very fussy. When he likes something today he does not like it next week. I was so happy that Chewy sold these cans individually instead of having to buy a whole case. Mr. Pickypants loves the chicken. I put it in a food processor and grind it up for him as he does not have many teeth. When I do this it comes out like soup and he just licks it all up in one sitting. I just ordered individual cans of the other flavors. I just wish Chewy would sell individual cans of other products so we can try them out without the expense of a case.

My cat used to love these Purebites cans, but within the last year, I’ve noticed they are upsetting his tummy. There are too many variables to know exactly what’s causing the stomach upset, but I distinctly remember these cans didn’t used to be bright pink inside. I stopped giving my kitty these when I noticed the look change because he also wasn’t interested anymore, but this second time around, I actually found a significant amount of blood in his stool after starting these products back up and it’s weird because it supposed to be 100% chicken and chicken historically doesn’t mess with my baby’s tummy..
