Purchased Purina One Indoor Advantage, Senior 7+ for the first time based on research I've been doing. All three of my kitties love it. I'll be purchasing this again.
I really like this food, despite it being labeled “Senior!” I’m ONLY 14. I eat all that I’m given, not wasting it like sometimes happens (usually when Mom orders a case and I find I don’t like it after the first can.)
Marvin Loves this stuff its stinky just how he likes it please dont go out of stock
I have a 16 year old main coon and he absolutely loved this one. It's the first time I've ever found a surf and turf mix in a senior pate form. Most cats in my opinion prefer the pate over any other form of wet food. I highly recommend this senior pate. My kitty is finicky and I took a chance on this one since it had mixed reviews but I rolled the dice and got a winner. Thank you Chewy !
Both my 11-year-old boys loved this new wet food. We no longer have issues with hairballs either. Must try1
I have 3 boys, aged 7, 8, and 9 - My middle cat always had a tough time with the Purina Pro Plan chunks in gravy, I think it was possibly the consistency of the food. Under the recommendation of my vet, I wanted to feed them more wet food overall to keep them more full and hydrated, but lower in calories since they're all little older and less physically active now. I was looking for a pate consistency for Purina branded wet food, and this checked all the boxes for me. Whereas I would split 2 Pro Plan cans between 3 bowls and have to eyeball the amount every time between them, now I can give them each 1 can for meal times, it's so much easier for me to prepare and clean up. I found that adding water to the can and pouring it into their food bowls not only rinses it out for all the juices, but also gives them a bit more hydration - I put water to about a 1/4 can. The pate consistency also means they eat their food slower which I hope keeps them fuller for longer. Slightly less calories than their old food, and more fiber which was needed in their diet. I'm so glad I moved to this food! It's also cheaper for me long term since I go through 6 cans a day - they have a dry food midday snack!
We started feeding this to our 15 year-old cat about 6 months ago. We give her a third of a can as a little treat in the evenings and every day around 8pm like clockwork she begs for it. We also feed our cats the Purina One 7+ dry food, so this was a natural segue for her tummy to handle the wet version fine. We empty a glucosamine supplement into her evening feeding and while we can tell she likes it less with that added, it gets the job done of making sure she takes her pill and she still enjoys her special wet food snack. We recently had to stop using this due to the fish iodine content and her recently diagnosed hyperthyroidism, so here's hoping she likes her new brand as much as this one!
Food gets eaten quickly by both cats! The only issue I have with this is that sometimes it's not as firm as a pate should be but as long as that's not reflecting that it's expired, I have no complaints. I haven't noticed any diarrhea. I would give 4 stars due to the pate inconsistency but it really is a good food. The pate was only off once so it's not a regular issue. Its a pretty good price, if you ask me. If it goes above thirty, this may become a little more expensive for me though (money adds up yall :p).
My cat gets bored of the same food so I try to find a lot of different varieties to rotate. I was pleasantly surprised with the price of this one vs the ingredients, and as she’s getting older now she might benefit from the senior formula as well. No by-product meal in this one so it’s a nice find for sensitive tummies, even if your cat isn’t a senior. She seemed to really like the flavor and finished it relatively quickly. Thumbs up from this kitty.
A case of this was sent to me as a gift so I tried it on my cats. My most finicky cat cannot do without it now. It's now part of the monthly order. Thank you Chewy, from Giggles
