Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.
Fully empty box every two weeks or when litter becomes saturated. Do not flush or put in drains. Wash the box with warm water and a mild, unscented soap in between changes and let it dry completely before refilling.
Fill litter box with 3 to 4 inches of litter
Scoop clumps & waste daily. Stir the litter around after scooping to ensure maximum freshness & odor control.
Add more litter to maintain depth of 3 to 4 inches
I have been using this brand for 6 years and am noticing that my last batch was super fragrant. Much more so than in the past. My cat did not want to use the litter box at first until the scent died down. While no one wants to smell their cat’s business, we also do not want our cats going outside of their box or smelling like our grandmas. The corn cob litter is by far the most superior litter on the market, but I would love the original pine scent, a less fragrant , or less floral scent if possible.
I was devastated when earth's finest was discontinued. That was hands down the BEST litter I've ever used, and of COURSE they got rid of it 6 months after I finally caved and tried it despite the insane price. Turned out it was worth it. This stuff isn't quite as good, but it's the closest replacement I've found so far. Idk where people are getting all this pine scent from, because I've never had a bag that smelled like pine. It has a very faint... I guess you could call it an "outdoor" scent, just kinda smells like dirt and plants, but it's very faint and doesn't last long once it's in the box. I just wish I could buy it from chewy... There are 9 cats currently calling my place home, so 10lbs is useless to me. I wish the company would make bags bigger than 18lbs, because I'd be all over that, but there's just no point in me buying 10lbs. That wouldn't even fill my boxes once.
the litter i usually buy is regularly out of stock so i've been trying different non-clay litters, and sadly this does a pretty lousy job (as all the other non-clay litters i've tried as well). because it doesn't clump, i do smell my cat's business. it's not as bad as others, which isn't saying much though. it's gets 2 stars for the bag handle lol, and it doesn't track too badly.
Who knew a cat litter could be so important to your cats and myself. This is the clone to the litter that I used for the past eight years which has been discontinued....I feel like it's the same litter but sold under a different name and company for more money but if it makes the cats happy then I shall pay..as long as you keep up with the boxes the litter will last for at least three weeks and still have the odor control...believe me that's important as well as the low dust and the lightweight factor...I really hope it sticks around because we had a time when the cats had different litter in their boxes
I recently swapped to this from lightweight clay litter and I am SO glad I made the switch! Smells much better, easy to scoop, and tracks WAY less. I’m no longer vacuuming after each time they use it. I have three Maine Coons that share the box and one scoop in the morning keeps the odor under control. I will go in after them if they have a smelly #2 but once a day does the trick. So mad I didn’t swap sooner!
Cats did not bother to use this one. One bag Nd we had it for almost a month trying in all the bixes and none of our two cats used it. They smelled it and left. Something os wrong woth it or they just did not like it. I got a refund
Probably a good litter but we won't be using it. The scent is overpowering. It's been trial & error finding the right litter that doesn't bring on my cats symptoms. We did settle on another brand made of corn, this one was just too strong.
As soon as I opened the bag, I was accosted with a strong detergent smell! Is this the bio-enzymatic formula? It's not listed anywhere on the bag or on the website or on Chewy description! Why so secretive??? I mixed it with the world best to cut down the smell but it is overwhelming the cat room!!!! I called the 800 number on the bag snd the sweet girl on the line had no clue what the ingredient was and took my number and email and said she would find out! We'll see!!
Toxic fake perfume. I searched/bought unscented but they shipped this. Instantly reekeed in my whole 2500-sq ft house.Had to throw it out. Waste of time and money
I recently had to move litter boxes to living space (from the basement) . Tried it all, walnut, wheat, clay, and even the pretty stuff. After 2 weeks the pretty smelled so bad triggered gag reflex. Walnut and wheat don't clump well at all. Natures miracle so far is the best corn litter I have Tried. Clumps well, very minimal sticking to box, and as the name indicates has a sweet corn smell instead of the awful clay smell. Also virtually no dust. Be prepared to vacuum though when they kick it out of box
