Feed an average size adult cat 1 can per 3 1/2 pounds of body weight daily. Refrigerate unused portion.
You may be anxious to switch your cats food, particularly if the new food can help address weight or health concerns. Our experts recommend a gradual transition over a 7 to 10-day period, however. A slow transition helps avoid digestive upset and gives her time to adjust to the new flavors and textures. Days 1 to 2: Feed 3/4 of the normal amount of current food and add 1/4 of the new food. Days 3 to 4: Serve half the current food and half the new food. Days 5 to 7: Feed 3/4 of the new food and 1/4 of the previous food. Days 8 to 10: Serve only the new food.
Lately, my cats are not interested in the Chicken Feast for Seniors. I have 4 kitties, ages 4,7, 15 & 17. This has been their Morning Staple for about the last 4 years. They REALLY liked it when it was almost impossible to find. Now that I have no trouble ordering it -- NOT SO MUCH??!! Anyone else have cats that are not loving this pate?? Wondered if there might have been a recipe change??
For my Kittie Fancy Feast is the best, she loves it and the portion in the can is wonderful. Where as the larger cans I used to get a lot went to waste because she couldn't eat it all. Because she is a senior Kittie I just love it and she does also. Try more varieties maybe.
My 11 year old cat has become fussy and will only eat pate wet food. Sometimes she vomits after eating. So I decided to I see if she would like this good. She loves it and the consistency is better than the regular version. I do add about a tablespoon of water to make it a littler looser in texture.
We have four cats. Three like anything chicken and the other is a tuna fan. Dividing a can in the morning by three is just right to start their day.
I have two 14 year-old cats, one youngster, and I feed an outside feral guy. NONE of them liked either the pate or the minced, yet I feed regular Fancy Feast pate most days and they all clean their plates.
my 11 years old ragdoll after change those wet food. she never throw up anymore. so thankful and she love it. will continue to order them for her.
I decided to buy the Fancy Feast Chicken Feast Pate Senior 7+ Canned Cat Food for our senior boy Bongo. He is a finicky eater so I was skeptical but he loved it. Thank you Chewy.com
Our 15 year old kitty was getting pushed out by the younger cats so we ordered this to feed her separately. She LOVES it and is putting on weight nicely.
My cat is 12 yrs old. She only likes to eat chicken flavored food. The senior pate is her absolute fave. I’ve seen a slimming down since she’s been on the food for seniors. Her joints also don’t seem so stiff. I hope the chicken Fancy feast is available again soon.
My two Senior cats love the smell and taste. Good product.
