I had several cans break open from somebody dropping box on its side. This isnt the first time. Not really worth purchasing as I keep having to throw away the open cans. Thinking about just going somewhere I can pick and choose the good cans. I think I sent Chewy a message about the breakage...
I had to order the smaller cans twice now because the 5 ounce cans were out of stock again. Also, stop packing the boxes to 50 pounds! I have even seen the burly Fed Ex guy struggle with it, and I have to open the box out on my porch & remove the product a couple of boxes at a time. We're not all Ahnold Schwartzeneggers!
We have 8 rescues and they all love this food, even the finicky ones. It’s well made and our vet recommended it.
This is one of my cats favorite flavors. They never turn up their noses to this one.
Chewy has turned out to be a great company that really does care for pets. Thankyou for taking care of my animals. Good nutritionally sound product at a fair price and the cats like it.
I have indoor cats and strays that I feed. EVERYBODY GOBBLES THIS UP!!!
I used to be able to count on this flavor from ProPlan. In the store as well as purchased here. All four of our cats, who used to eat this, now refuse. I tried adding the Proplan chicken, tomato, and pasta to entice them. That was also a favorite. Won't eat the Chicken, tomato, paste entree. They only take a small lick of the gravy. I am at a loss with what's happening with pet food. I also tried sprinkling Stella and Chewy Dinner Dust to entice. They will carefully lick the Dinner Dust leaving the Proplan chicken sitting there. Our feral colony won't eat it either. This is by no means the fault of Chewy. We love Chewy. Something is not right with the chicken flavors. Also, I wanted to share the Stella and Chewy Dinner Dust is a big hit with both our cats and dogs. A wonderful product containing everything good for your pets. In frigid temperatures I sprinkle on dry food for our feral colony. When I can't leave wet, this is wonderful nutrition for them. Both for indoor and outdoor pets. Thank you Chewy for carrying that product!
My cats do look forward in eating this line of cat food.
Not only did I receive a case of this food with two cans completely popped open (no usual cardboard protective cover)--what a stinky mess! Then, on top of dealing with the shipping damage/mess, my two cats just will not eat this food. I've tried twice and failed both times! One cat would not even taste the food, after sniffing it, and the other cat took a taste, then walked off the first time; the second time he simply sniffed the food and walked off.
This product is hit and miss. Some batches are devoured, while others are ignored. I store the cans by date, so it was easy to test my theory. After one can was refused, I opened one from another case and it was gobbled up. I don't know if it's the contents of the by-products, but I know to avoid certain dates. It's becoming difficult to find my go-to Pro Plan varieties that don't contain undesirable ingredients, and the Chicken and Spinach is pretty good. However, I wish it would be manufactured with consistency and better quality control. My loyalty to Purina is definitely being tested.
