Can I hold the Proplan for this month
How old does the dog have to be to start this food

Animal feeding tests using AAFCO procedures substantiate that Pro Plan Shredded Blend Turkey & Rice Formula provides complete and balanced nutrition for maintenance of adult dogs. A puppy is generally considered an adult when they stop growing taller. Typically for small breeds this is between 9-12 months, medium breeds around 12 months and large breeds closer to 15 months or more. We always recommend consulting with your veterinarian to determine when it is appropriate for your individual pet.
How big are the pieces of kibble? (Saying it’s suitable for all sizes doesn’t answer the question.) I have a pug who will only eat tiny pieces of kibble and I would like to know how big the pieces are before purchasing. Thank you!

This variety contains a shredded kibble and a ¾ inch triangular dry kibble.

Happy Puppers

My labs love this but I only got it because lamb wasn’t available! We’re on our second bag now because still no lamb! At least they are loving it!

Not usual quality - bad batch of dog food

We always purchase Purina Pro Plan Shredded dog foods for our pups. They love it, and have always done well with it. This bag is a total and complete let down and a MESS!! Instead of shredded chunks of dried dog food, it is filled with dog food dust and crumbs!! There are the normal kibble bites, and then the rest of the bag is complete crumbs and dust!! It gets absolutely everywhere, and the dogs have to lick it up instead of getting extra chunky bites. I sure hope our next bag is back to the Purina Pro Plan quality we expect!

My Search has Ended

I've had a hard time finding a dry dog food that my spoiled furbabies will eat without mixing it with meat. This one fits the bill. Nice to find after months of searching.

Upset stomach

My dog does well on other Purina Pro Plan foods, but there must be something in the Complete Essentials line that he's sensitive to, since this is the second flavor one we've tried that's given him an upset stomach. Just wish I knew what ingredient(s) it was.

Did something change?

I got this food for my chicken sensative pup during the summer and she loved it. When I started feeding her from the second bag this fall, she began turning her nose up at her food, which she's never done before. The pieces of turkey were notably smaller, which isn't a problem, but something definitely changed and it's weird I've been having to coax my normally not picky dog to eat her food. Now I am curious if the poultry by-product in this food is from chicken and not turkey.

Great product

My dog has a very sensitive stomach and we went through several Purina pro plan flavors, including Sensitive Stomach, before choosing turkey and rice. He has done very well with this product and I am pleased that I can order the 17 lb bag on Chewy & have it delivered.

convenient

My mom loves ordering from Chewy because it is very convenient and affordable. My supply gets low quick because I'm a growing boy. She literally clicks a button and the big huge Chewy box driver shows up! Well it seems that way to me. xoxo River

Changed Formula?

The last bag we received looks like it is over coated with goldish orange coating. My dog is very hesitant each time she comes to the bowl and doesn't readily start eating like she used to. Her stools are also softer and looser than before. Too bad I got the big bag this time. Will have to stay away from this food.
