Does this kibble break up easily (i.e. can you break up the pieces with your fingers)? I have an older cat with some tooth sensitivity and we are limited in the types of kibble she can chew.

This formula has a hard, crunchy kibble texture. Dry food can be mixed with wet food to help soften consistency.

I had been feeding Bebe Purina One but after reading reviews switched her to Pro Plan. I'd been reading about the differences in ratings and this was one of the better rated dry cat foods She's 10.5 lbs but long so perfect weight. So many people overfeed their cats and dogs which really shortens their lives. Our first 3 cats lived 19, 19 and 13 years, and the 13 year one had a fall that caused it to go blind at about 7 years then a stroke at 13. All were 10 lbs.

I did a lot of research on what brands have the best nutrition for older cats, and Purina kept coming up. We tried it for our picky elderly cat and she loves this stuff! Can't get enough of it! She was never a big eater, but she actually sits for mealtimes now, which is a nice way to be able to make sure she is eating.

Ru seemed to be going downhill fast - each day he was having more difficulties walking. Turned out it was the expensive, heavily advertised national brand of dry food we were feeding him. Within two weeks of starting to feed him this food, I no longer have to load him into the laundry and transport him up and down the stairs. He really seems to enjoy the food and is starting to play and be his old self again.

All my cats clean their bowls. I purchased this specific Pro Plan prime plus because I have 3, almost fourteen yr old kitties, and have noticed age creeping up. They spend most of their time outside, so I wanted a dry food that is more nutritious and tastes good to them. And, dry food they can chew. I feed Pro Plan, also wet food and add pumpkin. Only complaint, this food has too much fat content, so I'm careful with the amount I feed them. My other cats only get a few pieces of this kibble now and then. I don't want my cats to suffer from pancreatitis, so I'm careful with the fat. Please, Purina: less fat.

sounded promising

our cats have always enjoyed the purina pro plan chicken and rice and the weight reduction food. Not so much the Prime Plus Adult 7+ same flavour . they are not
