Never Again!

After feeding this to my 6 year old healthy dog, he developed some digestive issues, and during lab test for a dental cleaning, he had elevated ALT, which was normal

After feeding this to my 6 year old healthy dog, he developed some digestive issues, and during lab test for a dental cleaning, he had elevated ALT, which was normal 5 months prior. I have noticed MOTHS all over the area I keep his food for the last 2 months, and trapped dozens in moth traps. I could not figure where they were coming from until today when I opened the container and about 6 flew out. I looked around lid of the container and dozens of webbing of moths and dead moths there, as well as larvae through the food. This was the second bag we'd ordered, since we switched to this food. However, the food was disgusting and may well the cause of the digestive and skin problems my dog has been battling the past month. In researching the moths, they can cause both raised ALT in dogs and skin problems. I did call Chewy and received a refund, however, I want to warn anyone using this food to inspect it for moths or larvae. I will never buy this product again.

Made my dog unwell

My dog looooved this food but it also made her sick. Not sure if it was due to nausea or some other stomach issue but she started drooling excessively after a couple

My dog looooved this food but it also made her sick. Not sure if it was due to nausea or some other stomach issue but she started drooling excessively after a couple days of eating the food. Once we stopped the food the drooling subsided. Though I tried this brand because of the vet recommendations, I won't be buying from Purina again.

Our little girl will eat this like it’s caviar at her best Goldendoodle buddy’s house, but when at home, it’s a struggle. I have to mix it with a bit of a crumbly treat to “whet her beak”. Then, she eats. I am trying the beef one next as she apparently has tired of chicken and rice. I also am trying a freeze dried, beef, expensive one, to use as a small topper.

Newly Adopted Dog, New Food

Must be tasty! Vet recommended two of the big name foods (SD & RC) but I did some research and the Purina brand was more economical and seemed to have the same good

Must be tasty! Vet recommended two of the big name foods (SD & RC) but I did some research and the Purina brand was more economical and seemed to have the same good nutrition with lots of research plus a long history. LuLu seems to really like it and it works for small mouths. The Humane Society sent her home with a different brand so I transitioned slowly but it wasn't long before she was picking out the old food and putting on the side, only eating later when she was hungrier. I have used the other brands befo and sometimes it was hard to find locally in emergency and always found it much more expensive.

This food is inappropriately produced and can be detrimental to a dog's overall and GI health. Should be discontinued. My dog didn't have any effects while eating

This food is inappropriately produced and can be detrimental to a dog's overall and GI health. Should be discontinued. My dog didn't have any effects while eating it, which he loved/gobbled down, but on the long term, this is processed food for dogs that have shown in research to cause severe GI issues. Take it off your list.

Picky!! Miniature Poodle

Finally !! She loved Pro plan small breed Puppy which was recommended by the breeder. I switched to Science Diet and had to add shredded chicken for her to eat

Finally !! She loved Pro plan small breed Puppy which was recommended by the breeder. I switched to Science Diet and had to add shredded chicken for her to eat. I decided to try Pro Plan small breed for adult and she loves it! It’s got shredded chicken and a good crunch lol. Five stars!!

Inconsistent pieces

This food had smaller and larger shredded pieces mixed and my dogs had a harder time with the larger pieces. Sometimes there were more or less of these larger pieces

Great quality kibble with shredded dehydrated chicken pieces. The food always arrives quick and fresh and Hayzel is always eager to start a new bag! I had trouble for years with this finicky Bulldog until we started Purina Pro Plan. Now she has gained to her needed weight, has a shiney coat and lots of energy. Thank you Purina and Chewy for bringing it to our door each month!

My pup loves this food. He used to be so picky with dry food, but he loves these Purina Pro lines for some reason. He especially loves these shreds and will eat those first before the other food. His coat is nice and shiny, and the vet always comments on it & to keep him on this food. Great stuff!
