Great for Shelties
I've recenly decided to switch all my Shelties to Purina Pro Plan after my newest puppy came with this flavor in puppy food. They all just love it, and it keeps them so healthy. I recently went to Purina Farms in Missouri, where I was even more impressed with the product's history and production care. There was a period during which I didn't trust Purina, but I've since become convinced that all my concerns have been resolved. The top Sheltie breeder in Canada uses Proplan, and I know it has the be great. Reasonably priced, exceptional quality.
Good quality but not small bites
I switched from the regular pro plan adult to this type specifically for the smaller size kibble but the difference is negligible. I have a medium Shiba and these are still a bit bigger than I'd like. Hopefully the small breed formula will fit the bill.
Finding Purina propranolol lamb and rice .
Locally there are zero retailers that have this variety of product available. I thought Purina discontinued this formula. Seems chewy had some inventory left.
Good for many dogs in various life stages
We have started keeping our "granddogs" while my children were moving. We had dogs from 8 months old to 12 years eating this food. They all liked it and could eat it easily with the small pieces.

My puppy loves this food which was recommended by my vet. And we love Chewy because they have fabulous customer service reps and totally stand behind their products!!
Husky mom of 3
I did a ton of research when I adopted my first Husky. This food was the highest recommended. She is now 2 years old and super healthy! When we got our second our vet recommended the 27/17 to help with growth cause he is a little nugget. It helped him fill in more proportionally! We have a baby husky now as well and it’s great that can all three eat this because it is all life! They never have tummy issues and are routine eaters and they have good poops! I have a senior dog that we switch to this and I swear he has a new lease on life! He runs again and is able to jump on the furniture and keep up with the big dogs! (He is a lot smaller than the huskies). I cannot say enough good stuff about this food! If is goes out of stock I buy the 20/30 sport formula, which they love as well! The cool thing about the 20/30 is the bites are smaller, for smaller pups! I will not change their food- it has been so good for their coats and tummies!
Lamb and rice all stages dog food
All 10 of my dogs love it. I just wish the biggest big was in stocks. Every time I order it is always out. But they love it
Chow Down!
My 10 month old mini australian labradoodle loves this food - and he is a very picky eater. No problem with transition from Orijen Puppy food to this new kibble.
Not for small breed
It says small bites, but they are too big for our small breed dogs. We have a Chiweenie amd a minpin mix.
ProPlan L&R
Throughout most of the PANDEMIC, we have had trouble finding Lamb & Rice for our dogs. Since both our dogs are younger (5 & 1-1/2) the small bites active formula is perfect. The dogs love it! Since this is our first bag, we will monitor how long it last and then set up an automatic delivery program with Chewy. It will save us money, we don't have to waste time searching the local pet stores for availability and it gets delivered tour door. A true "pro plan"!
