I like that this product comes in the smaller cans so there is less waste (she never finishes even a half can at once). I like that this is the little chunks/shreds,

I like that this product comes in the smaller cans so there is less waste (she never finishes even a half can at once). I like that this is the little chunks/shreds, not pate, as my cat doesn’t eat pate. Clearly her favorite part of this food is the gravy because she eats all of that. She doesn’t seem to like the rice that much and will eat around it. I can’t say that it really has helped her to manage or lose weight, but she does eat it and I think it would have to be a little better for her than regular food.

It is specifically for weight control and Holly was putting on too much weight

It contains gravy which she is used to and there was no problem getting her to eat it.(She is a picky eater)

My finicky cat loves it

He has something against salmon but is cool with the chicken. Also isn't crazy about pate so these flakes in gravy are where it's at.

Good tasting for my chonky furballs

So I have 2 mature cats and one is a little overweight and the other is a CHONK but when I sprung this food on them, they were quite enthusiastic about it. No complaints,

So I have 2 mature cats and one is a little overweight and the other is a CHONK but when I sprung this food on them, they were quite enthusiastic about it. No complaints, no digestive upset, puking, weird litterbox happenings. And I do think it helped Sebastian lose a little bit of weight at least. They did get tired of the texture quite quickly though as their enthusiasm waned since my little furballs like variety so the same flavor meal after meal makes them bored and unhappy. Other than that, which is not a complaint to this food specifically, just canned cat food in general, I was pretty happy with this product. If it ended up in a variety pack of weight management flavors, I'd probably buy it.

Picky chonky cat approved!

My sweet kitty is both picky and overweight, definitely quite the feat for her but difficult to find food. Purina’s weight management wet food met with her approval,

My sweet kitty is both picky and overweight, definitely quite the feat for her but difficult to find food. Purina’s weight management wet food met with her approval, thank goodness. It’s a true wet food with liquid and shreds of food, not a pate that she turns up her nose at. The cans are easy to snap open and she already recognizes the sound and comes running to eat. So far little miss picky has not turned up her nose at it once! And being a weight control food I don’t have to worry about the fact that she actually does enjoy it.

My cat Frizzle is very picky about her canned food. She’ll only eat chicken and it has to be very brothy. I tried Purina Pro Plan Chicken and Rice weight management (cuz she put on a few pounds as she’s gotten older). I had left the cans of food on the floor for a couple days unopened. After the 3rd day she was meowing like crazy and rubbing against the cans. I decided to give it a try. She immediately started eating the Chicken and Rice and has been a fan ever since. She has been eating the dry version of this food for over a year but this will be an added treat to her daily meals.

My foster fail Nathan needed to lose about three pounds slowly and safely. I started him on the original weight formula by Purina Pro Plan before trying the new formula. He likes it even more and has been successful at getting closer to a healthier weight. He has plenty of energy, too. (4AM zoomies). The other cars aren't shy about trying to steal some from him. Some specialty foods aren't attractive to cats, but this one is a winner.

I bought this item to replace the Fancy Feast Chicken and Rice perfect portions because it was out of stock. My fur baby enjoyed it very much at first. She seems to like it but not every day so I feed her the Purina every other day so she doesn't get bored with it. All in all even though she eats the Purina Pro Plan I believe she likes the Perfect Portion Fancy Feast Chicken with rice more.

My 2 kitties absolutely devour this food. I was a bit reluctant because they are picky but not with this food. The cat food itself looks good and not all ground up like mystery food. I could identify some of the ingredients. It is nice that it has a bit of gravy, as my kitties prefer food on the juicier side. Upon opening the can, it did not have the strong gagging smell like some canned foods have. I also sent a couple of cans home with my daughter for her two kitties, and they, too, LOVE the food. I would highly recommend.
