QT Dog—All Natural Chews

QT Dog makes a range of single ingredient dog chews from Indian Water Buffalo horn and hide. They chew just like an antler, don’t get soft or absorb moisture like beef rawhide, and make for a super long-lasting chew that dogs love.

Single Ingredient and All Natural

Sourced from free-range, grass-fed water buffalo, these chews are high in protein and low in fat. Tough and long-lasting, they help clean teeth and reduce plaque, plus they’re free from additives, preservatives, and artificial ingredients.

How often should it be washed?

Answer by ChewyMar 10, 2018
Optimally, cleaning water and food bowls every day is the best option and if you're feeding wet food, you should clean the bowls every day. If you are giving your pets dry food, a warm water rinse every day is ideal. Clean the bowls with soap and water at least every few days.

I purchased these mid November. I wash them regularly but do not submerge or soak them. I immediately wash and dry them and remove (unscrew) them for cleaning. The raised round slow feed popups already have rust spots on the tops of several on both bowls I purchased. Has to be cheap metal. Don't suggest you buy these. Plastic is hard on dogs teeth so I'm nos sure what the options are???

I was so excited about these metal slow feeder bowls for two of our dogs, but was very disappointed when they arrived to find the pillars screwed in and were not even completely flush with the bowl instead of one solid piece causing food to get stuck under there making clean up a hassle to make sure bacteria and mold didn't grow. The edges were rough as well causing concern my dogs would cut their tongues. The final straw was after doing a biofeedback scan on my dogs, heavy metals showed up through the roof, and the only change was the bowls, so in the trash they went. These bowls are not fit for use. I have no proof of heavy metals as I did not have the bowls tested though to be fair, but when you know, you know.

Slow bowls

I loved the idea of these. We usually do the plastic maze bowls but I wanted the cleanliness of the stainless steel. Unfortunately they didn't work for slow feeding

Seems cheap and high maintenance

Bought these to try and slow down our cats because one of them scarfs and bards. One bowl arrived in an unsealed baggie with one of the “stanchions” detached. Machining is very cheap so it was difficult to reattach and it never full screws in. Bowls are going to be a nightmare to clean. Both had a weird smell which is strange because they are metal. Perhaps the smell was coming from the rubber ring around the bottom, which falls off easily. Had I seen these in person before purchasing, I never would have bought them.

Rather than being stamped from a single piece of stainless to limit any nooks or cranies for growth or microbes, they decided take the bumps as pieces that screw in and those screws are not centered accurately and they are shallow whuch leads to very limit thread engagement whuch lead to one already being stripped upon delivery. Would nit have bought if I knew it was constructed so poorly.

There were some type of grease stains on the bowl upon receipt from shipping. Also the removable parts are a pain to reassemble because the screws are so short you can’t see the holes, it makes washing the bowl cumbersome. It can also be hard to wash due to the rough edges on the bottom of the pieces becasue it tears up your sponge/clothes. I would love to return this as I’m going to look for a different brand.

Now that the rubber gasket at the bottom of the bowl is unusable, the bowl just skids all over the floor while my dog is eating and then gets flipped over. I can't use the bowl unless I put the bowl in a heavy pot to stop the skidding and flipping but it scares my dog as it bangs loudly against the pot. I tried putting the bowl on the carpet but that just made an even bigger mess. Very disappointing and I've only used it about 2 weeks. Now it basically is unusable and it wasnt' cheap!

Not what I expected!

The bowl was a nice size. However, it had to be disassembled by removing the three dividers in order to handwash it thoroughly, then re-assembled. That’s crazy!

The bowl was a nice size. However, it had to be disassembled by removing the three dividers in order to handwash it thoroughly, then re-assembled. That’s crazy! Plus, it was not to be put in the dishwasher. Who has that kind of time? Certainly not me! I wanted a stainless steel slow feeder bowl, made in the U.S., to safely feed my dog. What I got instead, was a stainless bowl that was made in India and too time-consuming to properly keep it clean. Not a product for me!

Slow Down

Great bowls! Two of our pups are robust eaters, to put it mildly. These bowls fit all their food and gently reminds them to slow down through their meals.
