Worked for my fur baby. She is very shy yet always seemed to be on high alert. Have to hang in there as it took 3 months (about) to adjust. That part is not easy. In the end it all worked out. Less anxiety and a lot calmer.
I am very happy that I can get this medication for my very anxious dog at a much better price than the vet is able to give me. . . . But they didn't have the correct mg's so I ordered twice as much to give him the correct dose each day.
We got this because my dog has some separation anxiety issues, pees in the home when we are gone and is overall very anxious about life. We have a fear free vet (highly recommended for dogs with anxiety and fear) and they prescribed this. At first, my dog stopped eating - was a little withdrawn from me and I got nervous. But I kept giving it to him per my vet’s instructions. After 2.5 weeks my dog was back to eating normally and has now been able to stay home alone without being in the kennel because he does not pee in the home anymore!!! He seems to have come out of his shell more - keep in kind we also are working with our vet and I am in school for dog training so we are also pairing this medicine with behavioral training methods. I use pill pockets to give it to my dog and he looks forward to it every morning.
Unfortunately, this didn't work well for our dog. We started on 1/2 a tab for two weeks, then went to a full tab. Exactly 7 days later he had explosive gas and diarrhea. We went back to 1/2 tab for two weeks, then 3/4 of a tab. Exactly 7 days later the same thing happened. We're trying another med soon.
Setting up the auto renewal for my dog’s medication for very fast and easy!
Familiar with the product, but Chewy makes it special. Great price and quick delivery
I was afraid of everything and nervous all the time. The doctor suggested my parents try this to help and it did. I still have a few issues, but life is so much better with Reconcile.
After a move, my dog developed separation anxiety. I started him on a training program, and the trainer recommended talking to his vet about medication. He has been taking this for about 6 weeks and is making good progress in his separation anxiety training. It's hard to say how much of that is due to the medicine, but the vet said it takes about a month to kick in, and I noticed a big improvement in his progress 3 weeks after he started taking this, so I think the medicine has made a difference. I don't think it's intended to work without a training program, though, so you'll need to find a training program, too.
I had ordered a medication for my dog & the decision was made to unfortunately put him down after ordering the medication. First time purchaser at Chewy.com so I figured I would call to see about possibly sending back with a re-stocking fee. The lady extended her thoughts to me regarding my dog & offered a full refund. Please look my return up & thank her again! I will definitely use Chewy.com in the future.
This product works well for our dog Jones. To bad it is out of stock when he needs it.
