My two dogs just love RedBarn Hearty Stew. It's made with real beef and carrots and best of all, it's kǰi88grain free. This is a dog food you can really trust. RedBarn Hearty Stew with Beef and Carrots supports digestive health, heart, eye, skin and coat health in dogs and it's made in the USA. Best of all, my dogs love the flavor. I have used it as a topper on their kibble and I have mixed it with kibble and I've served it alone. Regarless of how it's served to them, they both eat it right up. They lick their bowls clean to be sure they get every bit of the gravy.

Overall, I’m happy with this product. My dogs certainly love it. We mainly use it to feed our senior chihuahua mix who refuses to eat kibble anymore. She still has most of her teeth, but I suspect she may have some tooth pain when she eats hard food. I would prefer to feed her homemade food, but I don’t always have the extra time to prepare her meals, so we opted to try this product instead. One of the things I really like about this product is that the ingredients don’t contain “meals” or by-products. The first four ingredients are beef, beef broth, lamb broth, and beef liver. Carrots are next, followed by lamb, fish, eggs, and green beans. This product also contains pumpkin, which I love for my dogs to eat, as well as flaxseed and fish oil. The reason I deducted a star from this food’s rating is because it lists “natural flavor” as an ingredient and I have no idea what that is. As a general rule, don’t care for extra ingredients in my food or my pets’ food. I highly doubt the natural flavor is needed anyway, as this food is comprised of ingredients that most dogs would eat without hesitation. Why is it added? Another thing I like about this food is that it’s soft enough for my senior chihuahua of 15 years to eat and you can actually tell what the ingredients are by looking at it. It’s undoubtedly much better looking than the gelatinous dog food that comes out in the shape of a can. 😜 Aside from the “natural flavor” ingredient, the one other thing I’d change is the use of sunflower oil. It’s my understanding that sunflower oil falls in the same category as seed oils, all of which we try to avoid. Perhaps this company could replace the sunflower oil with a healthier oil such as coconut oil in the future. Considering all of the above information, I would probably get this food again. It’s definitely one of the better canned foods we’ve tried and my dogs really enjoy it. Then again, they will eat almost anything. 😅

I have 3 dogs. I gradually added the food to their food to avoid stomach upset. One dog loved it. My little dog did have a tummy ache. My husky was have bad stomach upset. If you have dogs that don't have sensitive stomachs, the food is great. My German Shepherd ate it fine. And don't get me wrong, the Husky wanted to gobble it up, it is just is food sensitivity issue.

My 7 yr old dog Barney can be very picky with wet food. I have wasted hundreds on plenty of items he would put his nose up to. This canned beef and vegetable stew was a huge winner, he took one sniff and scarfed it down in a blink of an eye. Not only dies he love it but it full of great ingredients, so you dont have to worry about whst hes eating.

I love the consistency of Redbarn's Beef and Vegetable Stew. You can see the small cubed beef and carrot pieces. It has been hard to find canned food that doesn't have chicken or chicken by-products in it. This canned beef and carrot stew is clear of all of those. I also like to vary the choices I give my dog. Pate is very clingy to the sides of the can and clean up afterwards is always difficult in order to recycle the can. I like a break from that and found Redbarn which is now one of the steady choices I buy for my chicken allergic dog.

Maizey loved trying this food. The wet food did look like a homemade stew and was more appealing than many canned wet food brands. Maizey didn't hesitate to eat her meal and put extra effort in licking the bowl clean. She digested the food well and didn't have any issues with her stomach. I was pleased with the product and Maizey was too.

My dog is very large (110lbs) so its not cost effective. I'd say this food is a better choice for smaller dogs becsuse of that.
