Can someone tell me the size in inches (since that's how they measure portions) of the four different roll options? The 4oz, 10.5oz, the 2lb 3oz and the 4lb rolls?
Answer by ChewyMay 08, 2019
The 4 ounce roll measures approximately 4 inches long x 1.5 inches wide x 1.5 inches high. The 10.5 ounce roll measures approximately 6.5 inches long x 2 inches wide x 2 inches high. The 2 pound 3 ounce roll measures approximately 7 inches long x 3 inches wide x 3 inches high. The 4 pound roll measures approximately 14 inches long x 3 inches wide x 3 inches high.

Does this food have to be refrigerated before opening ?
Answer by ChewyDec 26, 2017
You do not need to refrigerate the food rolls until they are opened. The shelf life for our unopened food rolls is one year from the production date. If you do plan to store the rolled food for a prolonged time, we suggest storing in the refrigerator for optimal freshness. To serve, slice through the wrapper for your desired serving size. Leave the casing on the remaining product and seal the open end with plastic wrap, foil or in a zip-top bag and refrigerate. Opened sealed rolls will remain fresh in the refrigerator for one-to-two weeks.

Are these meant to be used to stuff the filled bones after they've been hollowed out?
Answer by ChewyOct 20, 2017
This can be used as a complete and balanced meal, a protein supplement to dry food, as a treat, training tool, or as an aid for administering medications.

Can it be frozen when opened
Answer by ChewyOct 26, 2017
Redbarn Premium Rolled Food freezes very well. Simply slice into sections and wrap individually before freezing. Thaw at room temperature before serving.

Great Ingredients

My picky 14y/o Yorkie loves the Redbarn beef roll. I mix it 1/2 &1/2 with her kibble and also use it as one of her treats. So glad getting her to eat is no longer a struggle. Thanks Redbarn!

Good topper

We use as a topper for dry kibble. Can even add water to it to make "gravy" to soften/flavor the kibble. Our dog loves it. Good value for the money as well.

Cost effective

Good product and my dog loves it. I use it as training treats. Easy to cut and very cost effective.

not a fan, strong smoky smell

Our pup Maple seemed to like this at first from our trainer, which is why I purchased for training purposes. I noticed it has a really fake strong smoky kind of smell which I don't care for. After about a week of using it, Maple decided she didn't like it anymore and honestly I got so sick of the smell so I stopped using.

Dogs do not like it

My dogs loved the chicken flavor, but not the beef flavor at all. I have so much of it left.

Dog would not eat

My dog loves beef flavored treats of any kind, so I thought I would get this for more variety in her daily meals. The product had some kind of artificial smokey flavor but very off putting to both the human and the dog. In addition, the stuff is very dry and crumbly, not at all appetizing. She would not touch her bowl if I mix this into the kibbles. Wanted to return it but already opened. I am going with canned food options.

My dog loves this food as training treats

I cut this stuff up into 3/4 inch thick slices and freeze in a zip loc. I then defrost and use one slice (cut up into cubes) at a time as training treats. This food is VERY high value to my dog, and has worked great for reinforcement with him. He also likes the lamb flavor of this product. I like that it is a complete dog food, it makes me feel better about using so many treats in training.

Dry and hard

Fresh Pet rolls are much better, don’t waste your money on this dry, hard mess!

Not good for sensitive tummies

Making my dog absolutely sick. Plus my aunt's dog has the runs... will not be buying again. Just not worth it for the issues it is causing... don't know if it is a bad batch or what, but not worth it
