Is this dome safe with halogen floodlights?

The 75 watt lamp is suitable for bulbs up to 75 watts and 5.5 inches wide. The 100 watt lamp is suitable for bulbs up to 100 watts and 5.5 inches wide. The 150 watt lamp is suitable for bulbs up to 200 watts and 8.5 inches wide.

is this a deep dome?

The Small has an inner diameter measuring 5.125 inches and a depth measuring 3.25 inches. The Medium has an inner diameter measuring 6 inches and a depth measuring 5 inches. The Large has an inner diameter measuring 7.5 inches and a depth measuring 6.5 inches. The mesh cover adds 1.25 inches for all sizes.

Is this weather proof??

This lamp does not meet the definition of weather-proof due to the screw style fitting inside the unit. That said the outside of the dome is designed so that water (mist not rain) will run off it and not impact performance. But if water/mist is sprayed directly into the dome part where the lamp is then the water can get into the screw style fitting which will effective performance.

Great lamp

Overall I write this lamp very high. I haven't had any issues changing bulbs. Nothing seems to be coming loose. My only issue with this product and the reason why

Overall I write this lamp very high. I haven't had any issues changing bulbs. Nothing seems to be coming loose. My only issue with this product and the reason why I docked it one star. Is that the on and off switch is too far in the middle of the cord. Making it a kind of a pain to turn on and off.

Stopped working

Stopped working randomly after 2 weeks of use. Not sure what happened but the assembly that physically holds the like bulb is loose. Looking at returning.

Gorgeous, but stressful to setup

I was so excited to get this lamp in! It's all black and a huge upgrade compared to my last clamp lamp. I was a little let down when I couldn't get the clamp to

I was so excited to get this lamp in! It's all black and a huge upgrade compared to my last clamp lamp. I was a little let down when I couldn't get the clamp to attach to the lamp base. I followed the instructions, yet the lamp would fall each time I tried to attach the clamp. It didn't feel sturdy. The instructions said to be gentle so I didn't break the ceramic base, but it required quite some force to get the metal clamp to attach with the lamp not falling. I'm not very confident with it, mostly concerned it could fall into my turtle's enclosure.
