Big meows from Penny! She loves mackerel the most and this one with tuna has become her fav wet food. She gets up on her hind legs in anticipation of it. Photo is her wiped out with a full tummy. ( Penny is a feral kitty I take care of. She allows a few pets every now and then. )

Smells good enough to be people food!

Toothless cat approved! We have two elderly cats who whole heartily enjoy their wet food and this is no exception! Opening the can it actually has a pleasant odor and smells similar to a can of human grade tuna. Both our cats approve, we would recommend adding a bit of warm water to give it a more liquid puree consistency if they are lacking in teeth. Our cats do like variety, so after three meals in a row they want something different, however each time we bring it back out they are still loving it! We would buy this again and try more of the flavors to give them an increased variety.

I have two cats, both of whom are picky eaters. This food was a big hit with both! It did take one of them a couple tries to warm up to it, he's very resistant to change, but once he tasted it he was a fan. What I loved most about this product is it didn't make my less picky eater vomit. He's pretty accepting of most foods, but he will often throw his food back up when changing brands. We didn't have that issue with his food - very impressive!

I have four cats of varying ages. Two 15+ year olds, a 7 yr, and a 3.5 year. One of my elderly cats is on a special diet, so she did not get to try this as much

I have four cats of varying ages. Two 15+ year olds, a 7 yr, and a 3.5 year. One of my elderly cats is on a special diet, so she did not get to try this as much as she wanted to. The inside of the food looks like compressed fish. The cans are also a bit difficult to open. I split 2 cans between three cats. They prefer pates but did not take to this quickly. They ate slowly and didn't completely finish their meals. My cats have sampled lots of wet food and sometimes turn their nose up, but they seem to enjoy most. The trouble began shortly after they ate. One of my elderly cats threw up his food entirely after about 10 minutes. Sometimes his belly can be sensitive so that wasn't completely out of them ordinary. However, my 7 year old female also threw up her meal shortly after and she never throws up. She doesn't even throw up hairballs. My youngest cat did not eat all of his meal, but he did keep it down. I don't know if it was a fluke, but I do not feel comfortable trying this food with my cats again. I'm going to pass it along to a friend to see if it works out for their cats.

I was curious to try a food with mackerel to see if my cats liked it. With five furry beasts, I go through a lot of food, so I typically feed them a mainstream brand. This food was definitely a gourmet step up from those. It had a better smell and a much creamier texture, and all five of the cats loved it. I decided to look at the ingredients side-by-side, and Reveal was dramatically different from the food I've been feeding them. The first three ingredients are tuna fillet, fish broth, and mackerel. The first three ingredients in the food I've been feeding then are meat-by-products, poultry-by-products, and water. That pretty much says it all.

My cats loved this food. It says it is a pate, but the texture is actually more whipped and somewhere between a mousse and a pate. It actually reminded me of tuna with the color and texture instead of the processed brown gelatinous mass you normally get out of a pate that could be anything. My cats give this food ten paws up!

My finicky feline liked Reveal Entrees Tuna with Mackerel Recipe in Broth. The negative for my fussy one is this is a pate and she prefers gravy however she did eat it. The next time I fed her she was very curious about it and jumped on the counter to see what was on the menu. Again, she ate it but this time more enthusiasticly...maybe because she read the label which has really great quality ingredients...tuna, fish broth and mackerel are the first 3 ingredients..it is a complete cat food meaning it has all the proper vitamins in it so I can feel good feeding this to my Princess daily.. The expiration date is very easy to read on the bottom of the cans. Although it was fish flavored it did not reek of a nauseating smell....If you are looking for a very high quality wet cat food in pate I would highly suggest you try Reveal Entrees...it is Finicky Feline approved!!
