This tag can be used with leather or nylon collars.

If I only put the dogs name on it, Will it be the full size of the plate?

If you choose to only put the name, it will not cover the entire faceplate. The first line is always in a marquee text, so it will be bigger than the rest. Please see the attached photo below for reference:

Can the elastic band be replaced easily?

My puppy was only wearing this item for a few days. I loved how it sat on the collar. However, a few days later, she was chewing on the tag itself, and we found the material with the elastic that holds it onto the color. The one side snapped. The tag itself is too small to fit on any other item. It’s really disappointed because I like this item when I saw it.

This tag is functional but I wouldn't get it again. The phone number type is incredibly tiny. On a wiggly dog someone will have to take the collar off to actually read it to call us. Getting this thing on the collar was touch and go as well, I thought the bands were going to snap but I managed to get it on. I ordered a 1 inch size tag for her 1 inch collar but a size up may have been better. The rose gold color is at least pretty.

Looks and feels like a quality piece, but the phone number font is way too tiny and very difficult to read. It makes more sense to mad the top row (name) smaller

This is so tiny as to be pointless

The engraved metal is about as big as my thumbnail and neither of the fabric holders for it were large enough to get past the plastic part of the buckle on my 4

Good tag in theory

I bought this tag to go on my dogs Pet Safe shock collar in the off chance he managed to get past the fence (dead collar battery, break in the line we don't know

I bought this tag to go on my dogs Pet Safe shock collar in the off chance he managed to get past the fence (dead collar battery, break in the line we don't know about yet, crosses even with the alert and shock...he's very stubborn and seems very resilient to the collar at times). The shock collar doesn't have a way to attach a normal dog tag so when I found this I thought it would be perfect! It was perfect for the lonest time until the elastic started to wear out. Now the tag just hangs from his collar and I'm sure it will eventually wear out completely and fall off or it will get snagged on something and break off (at least I hope it breaks rather than cause him to be stuck on whatever might snag it). There is no way to change out the elastic, so my only choice now is to purchase a new one or find something that won't wear out as quickly (or preferably, not at all, but we know how that goes). Unless changes are made to the design, purchasing this tag means having to purchasing a replacement every several years.
