Do these splinter and are they safe?

This treat is extremely dense and should not splinter as it is designed to hold up to aggressive chewing. The bone is 100% natural ostrich and contains no GMOs, no preservatives, no hormones, just the knee bone of the ostrich smoked in hickory and cedar chips. There can be some leftover tendon and or meat attached but it is completely digestible in small quantities. We advise all pet parents to watch their pup while they chew on any natural bone or part and to take it away if a large chunk is bitten off as that could pose a choking hazard.

Excellent option for heavy chewers. My collie LOVES ostrich, even though it smells bad to me (probably a plus for her). Each one lasts about a week, which is decent for a $10 treat, in my opinion - especially given that $10 bully sticks last her about 20 minutes. She'll work on these for at least an hour at a time.

Pups can’t get enough!

Not up to their other products for my dog

I’ve had several of their products in the past and ones like this and another variety. They’ve always lasted quite some time and been a hit with our dog. However,

I’ve had several of their products in the past and ones like this and another variety. They’ve always lasted quite some time and been a hit with our dog. However, this one was destroyed very quickly and for the price that’s just not OK. Obviously he loved the product which is great, but I would never spend this amount for something to be destroyed so quickly. We still have several of their other products that have a good amount left from many months ago. So if you want something, your dog would love this is great but at the same time i it doesn’t last more than 30 minutes.

While my pup would rate this five stars, because he absolutely LOVED IT, I as a pet parent had to rate it a bit lower. Reason being, it’s quite expensive for about

While my pup would rate this five stars, because he absolutely LOVED IT, I as a pet parent had to rate it a bit lower. Reason being, it’s quite expensive for about 90 minutes of chew time. I still have beef marrow bones that my previous dog chewed on for years. But these, at $16 a pop and just 90 minutes of chew time, is just a bit too expensive to sustain itself. I plan on purchasing for special occasions - birthday and maybe holidays if I need to keep Freddie occupied and out from under my feet :) As for the product itself. . . it had an intense, but rather delightful smoky smell, did not leave a lot of mess, at least nothing that couldn’t easily be vacuumed up after the chew session, and in my dogs experience, it did not sliver or produce any sharp pieces that had me worried. Regardless, definitely keep an eye on your dog while they chew this. Because it goes so quickly, you do not want to walk away and risk your dog chomping off a big piece, or attempting to finish off the last little bit left at the end.
