Transition Instructions
Pets can be sensitive to sudden changes in their diets. For this reason, it is extremely important to follow a gradual transition plan to best support your pet's health and product effectiveness. It is recommended to follow at least a 7-day transition plan before exclusively feeding your pet a new food. Start by mixing 75% of your pet's current diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the current diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the current diet with 75% of the new diet. On Day 7, you can feed your pet the new food exclusively. Ask your Veterinarian about the best way to transition your pet to a new food.

Our dog's favorite
Chewy is the only place we can find the ShihTzu Adult Load as prescribed by our vet. Our dog, who is a very picky eater, loves it.

Good stuff . . . when you can find it
My kid loves this food. So I love it. When we can find it. It is more often
"temporally out-of-stock" than it is "in-stock." Annoying - yes!

Royal Canin Shih Tzu Wet Food
My little Cookie is extremely picky. She makes me crazy. She loves her Royal Canin wet food but it is extremely hard to obtain. I have resorted to giving her different Royal Canin products. The two products she will eat are Royal Canin Beauty loaf in sauce and Royal Canin Yorkshire Terrier loaf in gravy pate in sauce. I hope this information helps other Fur Baby Parents with a picky eater.

Solution for a Picky Eater
My Shih Tzu stopped eating the dry adult RC Shih Tzu food in the mornings. Come lunchtime, he would often throw up bile from an empty, hungry stomach. Our vet recommended mixing in a portion of the wet version to peak his interest--and it worked like a charm! He's excited to eat again, and licks the bowl for more. I still want to keep this a treat with the benefits of dry food, but Patrick appreciates getting this a few days a week.
