Does the canned food need refrigerated once opened?
Answer by ChewyJun 21, 2017
Once open, it's recommended to add a thin layer of water to the top of the can prior to refrigeration to keep the food moist. As for food that is left out at room temperature, they should be discarded after 2 hours.

Once open, how long can we keep a can of Puppy in gel in the refrigerator?
Answer by ChewyJan 19, 2018
Opened cans should be stored in the refrigerator for a maximum of 5 to 7 days at a temperature between 40 and 45°F.

Eating MORE

My 10 year old mini poodle has been very picky lately and the hard food she struggles on with her teeth. She’s eating a little more and gets excited when I open the can. Trying to maintain her petite body at 8-9lbs. Sometime I mix it w/the dry Royal Canin puppy although she’s a mature dog. She eats two cans am n pm

Appetite Stimulation

My puppy was not eating enough. I was concerned she was not getting enough food to help her grow properly. This worked wonders! She started eating all of her food immediately. I mix it with the hard Royal Canin puppy food. In less than a week she gained 6 pounds.

Good Quality

I bought this for my dog because she will only eat the Chihuahua wet food from Royal Canin and it’s been out of stock for so long. They shared a lot of the same qualities. For some reason she doesn’t eat it. So back to the drawing board. She’s a very finicky eater.

Puppy food

This Food is very expensive. Pups did eat but sparingly. Only when really hungry would they show interest. Expensive hardly liked by my pups. At over $2 for a 5oz can. I would not buy again. Just my 2 cents.

Royal Canin Puppy food 5.8 oz cans

My puppies love this food, however Royal Canin is so unpredictable about the shipping , I find I can not count on finding this Royal Canin food . Also my puppy people had trouble finding this food . So I do not recommend this to my puppy people any longer . Chewy was great about shipping this food , however it seems that even they cannot get this food . This has been going on for quite a while ( 2 years ) ........no excuses !!!!!!!!!

Smell tasty

My pug loves this! Start feeding it at 6 weeks old, always happy for this, still ate it even when I mix it with other brands of dry food. As long as pup is growing healthy!

It says "appetite stimulation" and they ain't joking!

May cavalier puppy would barely touch his dry food. I tried adding two or three spoonfuls of this and covering it with the dry food and he's suddenly devouring everything in his bowl!

Not a moist mousse

This is probably a very fine food as most are from RC, but my furkids wouldn't eat it, seems they love the other RC mousse better
