My very picky eater took to this quite quickly. Initially was supposed to have her on Ultamino but she flat out refused to touch it, so i had to return it. Tried novel protein diets. Was running out of options. Accidentally noticed she took to my brother's cats' food which is also RC Hydrolyzed but with Gastrointestinal and was cautiously optimistic about the switch to this. My kitty is definitely overweight and all attempts at weight management food in the past were also met with resistance (she sat on my chest every morning and meowed from hunger til i caved and switched her food back to regular). I know how much losing weight will help long term too, and this is the first "weight management" option she has take positively too as well without constant signs of starving. TMI but her stools are hard for the first time in so long and she has not had a recurrence of her gland issues since starting this food, which was happening for months prior on other foods due to food allergies. Overall very grateful for this food option and hope it continued to work going forward

Game has asthma and his fat tummy was making it harder for him to breath. Plus the regular cat food may have added to his asthma attacks if I understand the vet correctly. Anyway, he went from 20 to 17lbs and he wheezes less often.

My orange kitty has always been extremely food motivated unlike her sisters. Over time she gained weight and became incapable of cleaning herself fully. A trip to the vet was in order. The combo of satiety plus the hydrolyzed protein allowed her to lose the weight while also making her food being easier for her digest. Weight loss has been relatively slow, but she is now down to just under 14 lbs from her high of being just under 16. Digestion issues have also cleared up with the introduction of this food.

My cat has food allergies, diabetes and gi issues. Needless to say our food options are very limited. We were feeding her Hills ZD but she never felt great. She LOVES this food and feels good again! It’s also half the calories. I’m so glad we switched food.

Causing more problems in my cat

My cat has been eating the Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Multifunction Urinary SO + Hydrolyzed Protein Dry Cat Food, ordered directly from my vet for a couple of months

My cat has been eating the Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Multifunction Urinary SO + Hydrolyzed Protein Dry Cat Food, ordered directly from my vet for a couple of months. (Before Chewy carried it). She is very overweight, so I ordered this one in the hopes that it would help, but instead of helping, it's made several things worse. The pieces are much larger than the regular hydrolyzed/SO, so 1/4 of a cup by volume isn't anywhere near the same. I have to give her more, which doesn't help her weight. Instead of curbing hunger, she eats faster, and cries more. I've tried increasing the amount, but that doesn't help much. She is prone to UTIs and even though this food says it's also SO, something is different. I can smell her urine again, and she's not drinking as much as she was with the other. She has also experienced constipation and nausea. Nothing else is new, and I slowly introduced the foods like you're supposed to. Since my cat has a chicken allergy, a history of pancreatitis, and is prone to UTIs, I was THRILLED when I found the original food. She loves it, and it helped improve her overall health. Since the difference in this one seems to simply be increased fiber, I don't understand why there are so many drastic differences.

Yay Chewy

So grateful to see Chewy had this food. My cats love Royal Canin and need to eat the hydrolyzed protein, but the hydrolyzed protein satiety is notoriously hard

So grateful to see Chewy had this food. My cats love Royal Canin and need to eat the hydrolyzed protein, but the hydrolyzed protein satiety is notoriously hard to find. In the 7 year's my cats have eaten hydrolyzed protein I've only ever been able to get two bags. Here's hoping Chewy will always have it in stock!!

We will have to wait to see if my 24 pound behemoth actually loses any weight.
