Questions & Answers

9 Customer Questions

What if a dog eats the litter is it safe or will it cause a blockage?

How much dust compared to clay? My husband has lung problems and we both are having coughing fits from the dust.

Answer by ChewyJun 30, 2020
This litter features a low dust formula.

Is this litter flushable? There is not a picture of the back of the bag to read if it does or not. I put "flushable" in the search but, have had several litters that are NOT flushable show up in the results.

Answer by ChewyAug 31, 2020
You should dispose of the used litter in the trash. Do not flush litter in the toilet or place it in the drain.

Is this available in unscented?

Answer by ChewyMar 11, 2020
At this time, an unscented litter formula is not available.

Yes, this litter has a perfume added but you get used to it and it wears off. Yes, it's clumping action is weak but marginally adequate. Yes, this litter tracks all over the house requiring vacuuming weekly. We use it because clay dust is worse than all these drawbacks combined. Clay dust gets into and onto everything everywhere in the house. Judging by its omnipresence, you can be sure that you and your family are breathing in, eating, and drinking a significant amount of fine clay dust. To avoid this, you choose a compromise you can sustainably afford like this ground corn cob stuff. Perfect? Nope. Just an affordable adequate compromise.

There were many reasons why I ordered this. I loved that it was all natural, the strong scent dissipated quickly, plus it was lightweight. I would never order this again because of the litter tracking! It’s everywhere in my house! There’s litter on my furniture, there’s litter in rooms that are far away from his litter box. It seems to stay in his paws and eventually fall off. I sweep several times a day and then the sun will hit the floor and there’s more litter! I really like Arm and Hammer litter, but I’ll never buy this variety again!

I have been satisfied with the frisco multi-cat unscented litter but it was so fine that it seemed like my three cats managed to get it all over even with a litter catching pad in front of the bin. I am trying this and so far I am loving it. It keeps odor down just as well as the other litter and I'm getting almost no scatter outside the box.

My cat's regular litter smells like clay and poop no matter how frequently I clean it. This product covered up the poop smell. It's very light in comparison and seems to be dust free. It actually clumps well. So far it hasn't been tracked through my apartment. The loose litter gets trapped in the mats outside of the box. I think I finally found the right litter for my cats.

The first day I tried it it loved it. The smell was great and all of the cats used it with no issue. When I scooped in the morning the urine "clumps" broke apart as soon as you shake the scoop to shake off the fresh litter. They all seem to pee in the same spot in all of the litterboxes so I end up having to remove the litter from those spots completely. Very disappointed. I am switch back to Frisco Clumping Grass Litter. I thought I could save a few dollars but I guess you get what you pay for.

This litter clumps very well, but it does track A LOT! I have found it all over my house. It’s not dusty like the clay litter which I was previously using! That alone has made a huge difference! Its fresh scent is very strong so I decided to buy arm and hammer’s unscented brand and mix the two. So far it’s working. I still get a little fresh scent but it’s not overpowering.

I think this may be the worst cat litter I've ever tried. It clumps poorly, tracks horribly all over the place and has an overpowering fragrance. I just looked at the title - thinking I could save a little over the other corn litter I was using and ordered without reading that there are added ingredients. Baking soda is a big no-no for my foster kittens and cat with respiratory issues. Not real sure what the natural green stuff is, but it looks to be about equal ratio to the corn. So I'd call it maybe a corn mix litter. Will not even consider donating this - it's that bad.

I have three cats. One has Kitty asthma. I needed a litter that was virtually dust free. This one is. I really like this litter because not only had it helped with my cats asthma being dust free, it’s light weight, clumping and easy to scoop. The only cons I can say is that it does have a very strong scent, but none of my cats seem bothered by it and also the price seems a bit high, but prices are high on almost everything these days! I recommend trying this litter.
