Answer by ChewyApr 27, 2025
This recipe features L-Carnitine, an amino acid that plays many roles within the body, which may help in patients with carnitine deficiencies, obesity, and cysteine associated with carnitine deficiency. It's important to note that the effectiveness of L-carnitine supplementation can vary among individual pets. Consulting with your veterinarian is recommended to determine the appropriate dosage and to ensure that this supplement is suitable for your pet's specific health needs.

I researched different remedies for fatty lumps and overall health. I new fatty lump sprang up on our 13 year old lab so I decided to give this a go. After a week, the lump has reduced in size (not dramatically) which I feel is good! I’ll continue to monitor this new lump as well as existing for any changes. Overall, I feel like this is adding benefits to my pups.

It's helping my cat

My cat has diabetic neuropathy affecting his rear legs. This is helping him to walk up on his toes again, not flatfooted.

My dog has had crazy gut issues since having a surgery 1.5 years ago. Nobody can figure out why his appetite has been so hot and cold. I started this a week ago; I can't say for certain this is the only thing that has made a difference because we are trying A LOT but I can say, my dogs appetite has been so much better.

On the fence

My biggest complaint is the dropper is measured in ML and the directions have the recommended dose in mg. My cat is not experiencing the recovery others have noted

My biggest complaint is the dropper is measured in ML and the directions have the recommended dose in mg. My cat is not experiencing the recovery others have noted. It seems to make him a little nauseous (which is a side affect of l-carnitine) and his poop a bit loose
