As others stated here, the brush works wonders at quickly removing loose fur. However, it does not collect the fur as most brushes do. So, my advice is to brush the cat with this but have a second comb/brush on hand to collect the loose fur. Additionally, use this in an area where you can vacuum shortly thereafter. I use this on both of my domestic short-hair cats; one loves being brushed and the other does not. This does the trick but both leave an explosion of "bunnies"!
I read the reviews on a ton of brushes. This one looked promising. My senior cat used to like being brushed and groomed and as she aged she began to hate it. This new brush she loves. The hair does not collect in the brush but that is offset by my cat enjoying being brushed again
This brush looked really good. The reviews were good. My Siamese has been brushed since he was a kitten, but lately his 7 year old self says "No." He might have felt the brush, and it really removed the hair, but it went all over the room, until he said he'd had enough. The hair was underneath him, on the furniture and on the rug. I had hoped the hair would have stayed in the brush.
My cats love the massage they get from this brush & it does really brush out the fur. But the brush doesn't hold the fur that well, so the fur does go flying. But because my cats love it so much, I do recommend it. I love to see my cats happy!
My cat is 14yrs old Maincoon. He has grown intolerant of brushing, which I hear is common in older cats, so I needed something that would get the job done and be gentle. This brush does just that and he no longer gets upset during grooming time. It does take longer than other brushes but once you get going the hair flys! The bristles are a soft rubber, almost like a curry comb or zoom groom but I like this better as it’s gentler and has a handle.
This Safari Massage Cat Brush must truly live up to its word on giving a great massage. In fact, not only do my cats completely relax when I use it on them, they actually drool. Their coats are shiny after using, excess hair is in the brush, and grooming is no longer a chore for them or me. Thank you, Safari.
Owned a lot of brushes and has a lot of cats and this is the best I have has powerful yet gentle on my 8 yr old indoor rescue cat....everyone should have this put a towel underneath if doing on your bedspread or you will be washing regularly its so so good
This is a great little brush. It also massages my cat and he loves it. Easy to clean as well.
My cat loves it.. that’s all that counts!
Got this because Hades seems to like human hair brushes, so I wanted to find one that was a little gentler than the wire brushes. He certainly likes it, and it seems to do a good job of getting the undercoat in short haired cats
