Not Great for Mats
By StrayFeralFriendly on Feb 5, 2021
I have a couple of feral kittens I'm caring for and they are long haired and terribly matted. I bought this brush hoping it would help but it does nothing for the mats. I just bought a mat cutter brush and will review it after it arrives. This is still a nice brush and the kittens like the feel of it. It doesn't seem to take out much hair but I am using it on strays who live in the cold and who knows what sort of health they are in. Anyway, I'll continue to use it because they seem to enjoy the feeling. Once I get the mats out it might be a useful tool.

Greatest cat brush
By NoahsArk on Jan 29, 2021
Gently removed large matted fur section from our 15 yr old cat. She usually bites & fights if try to brush her. So she had gotten a large section of matted fur that she refused to let us touch. We were considering taking her to vet to shave the matt out. With this brush, she purred as the brush gently broke up and removed matted fur. Now that she allows us to brush her, no more painful matts!

Best Ever Brush
By Bugsy2019 on Feb 6, 2021
My cat, Tommy, is 13. We used to live in the country & he was in/out door cat. We moved to town now only in door. He's got short hair but not real short. Had a regular brush, major hard to clean hair out. Had to find a good brush easy to clean. This brush is awesome, I can get more hair out in a few vs hours. He's not real happy, he wasn't with the regular one either. This is great. Getting the hair out, push the button & done.

Great brush
By Rusty on Feb 12, 2021
I've had many brushes for my cat, and was disappointed. I ordered the Safari Self-cleaning Slicker Brush for Cats, and Rusty, my fur baby, and I are delighted with it! The self-cleaning hair removal function is fantastic and makes it easy to clean off the fur! It's a Great Brush! My Rusty purrs quite happily as he's brushed! Great brush, can't go wrong!

Great Brush
By AlexS on Feb 20, 2021
This self-cleaning brush is perfect for my cats. I have 4 short-haired kitties and all of them enjoy the feeling of the brush. It helps my most sheddy cat shed less. The auto cleaning feature works great. My kids use it also on the cats and are able to use the cleaning feature themselves. Very happy!

Miracle brush!
By Vicki on Jan 16, 2021
The fine wire bristles on this brush go through a “false base” —I don’t know how else to describe it— so when you are done brushing, you push the button on the back of the brush and the base moves up and pushes all the hair off the bristles. You’re left with all the hair that was caught in the bristles in a little clump that you can grab with your hand an throw away. Release the button and the base retracts again to the base of the bristles. Genius! All brushes should have this feature! And the bristles are fine but strong and my dogs and cats all love being brushed with this brush.

Works well, but has doubled in price
By TxLaurieLou on Jan 25, 2021
Works pretty well on our short hair siamese and better than anything else we've tried on the fluffy long hair turkish angora cat. They both like to rub their faces on the wire bristles. I usually use their rubber nubby mitten groomer or a barely damp washcloth to remove any leftover loose fur. I first bought this here in 2017 for less than 7 dollars. It's now over 14 dollars in Jan 2021. So although it works well it doesn't work 2x better.

Works like a Charm!
By Laetitia on Feb 2, 2021
I am very pleased with the high quality of this brush. I’m almost embarrassed to admit that I used to brush my cats with a regular brush meant for humans. (They are short-hairs but they need regular hair grooming sessions in the winter.) Finally caved to get them a proper cat brush and they love this. No more static! No more messy cat hair removal for the hooman!

Great brush
By newcatowner on Jan 13, 2021
I have a short haired cat, which I'm honestly not sure is recommended for this brush, but he (and I!) still love it. He does seem to be a cat that likes getting brushed no matter what, so I'm sure that influences things, but he loves this brush and I love that it catches a LOT of his undercoat. So much so that I can fill up the entire brush, and then easily remove everything in one 'push'. I'm not usually one to spend extra on something, if I can save with another product, but I am glad I spent extra on this.

What a time saver!
By Jenanne on Jan 28, 2021
I love this thing and use it all the time. After brushing my cats, I just push the button and the hair falls right off into the trash can. No big hassle "combing the comb" or pulling clumps of hair off the tines afterwards. And the slicker brush itself works very well. I've had it for years and it has stood the test of time. This is a well-designed product!
