Bristles (wires) very sharp! Not for short hair cat

Hugely disappointed with this brush.. The wire bristles were a bit longer, slightly thinner, and much sharper than the brush I misplaced. I misplaced my old brush

Hugely disappointed with this brush.. The wire bristles were a bit longer, slightly thinner, and much sharper than the brush I misplaced. I misplaced my old brush and got this new one (as a back up) and its terrible! When I went to brush one cat along her back, she actually winced! I was lured into buying because its “self cleaning” but pulling out a bit of fur is not that big a deal; self-cleaner probably tripled price. I have two indoor siamese that think my brushing them is a treat; so do I, because when I do, I am guaranteed purrs and head rubs. Not with this brush! It think it might hurt a little kids fingers, too, if they touched the bristles.
