STILL THE BEST CAT LITTER
By Chlobert on Apr 10, 2021
I used to only use Scoop Away Scented litter. About 2 years ago, I decided to try one of the 'weighs 1/2 the usual, does the same job of the full weight' generic litters. The first few containers seemed to be good. Then, while cleaning the litter box, the urine clumps were very fragile, & if I shook the scoop, they'd break open. It took twice as long to clean the litter box. I started noticing litter everywhere, bathroom carpet, and especially my cat's fur. When he'd drink water, the litter would fall from his fur into the bowl. I've now purchased 2 of the 42lb containers of Scoop Away, and from past experience, I won't have anywhere near the litter all over the place! Best Litter Ever
By slippednfell on Apr 18, 2021
When I first got an indoor cat I tried every litter out there, even one my sister swore by, I found Scoop Away to be the best there is out there. After giving my sister's favorite a try, I told her this was still better, hands down. She gave this a try and converted. Used with a hooded litter pan with charcoal filters, I have been able to go a full week (with one cat) without scooping if necessary and still not have an odor problem. My sister uses an open litter box in a very small area under the stairs and has no odor issues.

My preferred brand & packaging
By ConureMom on Apr 16, 2021
I've always had cats & have tried just about every brand &/or type of litter available. Bags, tubs, buckets, you name it I've tried it. When this Scoop Away 4 bag packaging became available, it quickly became my go-to kitty litter. The convenience of the small bags are a welcome change from those big heavy buckets & years worth of the empty ones stacking up in the corner of the garage. Dust hasn't been as big of an issue for me as in some of these reviews. It's all in how you're adding the litter to the box. Low & slow minimizes the dust cloud.

Add urine = cement
By Rescuemom on Apr 16, 2021
I switched to this from Frisco 40 lb bags due to an injury I have and having difficulty carrying the bags. I have just gone in my auto ship and switched it back. The litter has an odd smell to it, does not control odor at all and when wet turns into a cement like substance. I have rescue cats and have spent so much time with cat feet in the sink trying to wash the litter cement out from between their toe pads and under their claws. It also does not hold up in the litter box even for a few hours. I do not recommend at all.

Finally better packaging!
By Susani7 on Mar 31, 2021
This pack was tough to carry up my condo 2 flights of stairs after delivery but I was thinking and hoping the bags inside were easily handled and stored. They definitely store easier. They are tricky to open; perforated pull that I had to cut with scissors and have a resealable tape. The individual bags are small, so I dont think many will need to reseal them but the option is nice I suppose. One entire bag is enough to refill my box a in between. They are no worse than the big box so personal preference will have to be the deciding factor. Will I order this again? Probably! Will check pricing though and choose whichever is cheapest.

Really Dusty
By CatMom on Mar 29, 2021
Chewy does an excellent job of getting product to my door and in great condition. I love Chewy! This review is about the product. I bought this litter because my regular litter changed, it was more dusty than previous boxes. What a mistake, I have MORE dust now than before. I work at home and in the office where the litter box is for one cat, so I scoop everyday. I am not only having to dust once or twice a day but I now have to breathe it. I gave it two stars as it clumps well, but I would rather it not be so dusty. I made the mistake of ordering two so now I have to deal with it for a while. In the meantime I will be looking for another litter.

Dusty, not great
By JackKoda on Mar 22, 2021
I bought this litter because the shelter I adopted my kittens from used this. I had pine litter previously, but one of our kittens wouldn't use this. I bought this as a last resort hoping that it would work. The first thing I noticed was that this is EXTREMELY DUSTY! Any time I scoop or pour a dust cloud comes up. The scent is extremely potent and almost suffocating :( The tracking is also bad, there is litter everywhere, it's on the floor, and it sometimes gets stuck on their paw. Occasionally, the cats will leave litter pawprints absolutely everywhere and it's a hassle to clean. Even though my kittens like this litter, it is a nightmare for me. I have 3 inches of litter in the pan, like the instruction on the back suggest, and it still sticks to the bottom. For anyone who is looking at a litter, I suggest using pine and not this litter. … more

It’s fine, not great
By JackKoda on Mar 22, 2021
I bought this litter because the shelter we adopted our kitten from used it. We tried out pine litter but one of our kittens wouldn’t use it so we tried this as a last resort. I have to say that this litter isn’t great, but it works. I’m not super satisfied with this. It is VERY dusty. Anytime I scoop the litter (which is twice a day) and pour in more, a small dust cloud comes up! The fragrance is very potent and it’s almost suffocating. However, the only good side to this is that it covers up the smell. The tracking is also bad! I mean really bad. There is litter absolutely everywhere. It’s extremely frustrating and time consuming to clean up every single day. I definitely prefer pine over this I bought this litter because the shelter we adopted our kitten from used it. I definitely prefer pine over this, but I have to use it since I don’t have another option (or else my kitten will pee everywhere). As a clumping litter, it works very well. The urine hardens into firm balls. It might be because I have a shallow litterbox, but the wet litter sticks to the bottom of the box :(which makes it very hard to clean. I also find that the litter goes very quickly. I’ve only had this litter for a little less than two weeks and I’ve already used almost 40 lbs, compared to pine which took me 5 or so weeks to use. I’m honestly quite disappointed in this litter. … more

Honestly one of the best brands out there!
By Sirena on Apr 7, 2021
I've had a cat for 14 years, and during these 14 years i've tried almost every litter on the market. This one doesn't seem to track ALL OVER the house, it stays relatively put near her litter box. I love the fresh smell and over time it stays fresh. It's easy to scoop and it stays clumped together. My favorite part is that Chewy delivers it right to my door so I don't have to be carrying 42 lbs of cat litter up three flights of stairs!

The Worst Smelling Litter
By Angel on Mar 8, 2021
I bought this because I liked the idea of not getting plastic tubs all the time and according to the reviews people seemed to like it. But the minute I poured this in the box there was an enormous amount of litter dust already in the air so thick I could see it. Not only that, the SMELL is so horrible. I finally realized all those times I walked into someones house and thought it smelled like urine, that this litter was likely the culprit. It has that odor of what I just mentioned and if you have ever experienced what I just said in a house, then you know you won't want to try it. Maybe it's just me but my roommate said the same thing. I can't use it at all and feel bad selling it I bought this because I liked the idea of not getting plastic tubs all the time and according to the reviews people seemed to like it.
